I'm not sure you will be able to find exactly what you're looking for lolady, especially given the weight requirements which I had forgotten about. :( I am wondering if maybe a higher pg ratio in your juice might give you the th you need to compensate for the lower voltage of your wireless 808s. Not really sure about that, th isn't actually a requirement for me so I don't chase it. Of course, the bright side is the e-cigarette industry seems to be moving rather fast right now so if not today perhaps tomorrow?

There's always jalapeno or pepper juice. :)

Oh, of course! This thread has a profusion of Leading Experts right here!

Where is my head?

I posted my tale of woe, and MustangSallie was kind enough to reply that I was barking up the wrong tree, to spare you the clickage, the condensed question is this:

Is there such a thing as a cigarette-shaped wireless that will use KR808d-1 cartomizers and provides 5 electricity globules (volt flavor)?

It appears that after 90 days of near continuous plugged-into-the-wall puffing, my beautiful little wireless KR808d1s are simply not providing the level of "throat hit" I require, and although I only go to the doctor and drugstore, as doctor visits become more time-consuming, I find that I am increasingly in need of an alternative to taking an extension cord along in my purse, and plugging myself into the outlet usually used by the EKG machine.

there is also the option of using a (possibly modified) portable power pack with usb ports...you just need to find one rated to push 2 amps or more...

Thank you all so much! I should have come right here first!

My "pass through" is of the KR808d-1 tribe and doesn't need an adapter.

Yes, size matters, and weight. The KR808d-1 wireless ones get heavy after a short time, and as MustangSallie has noted, the cigarette diameter is more comfortable for small hands, my glove size is 6 and a half. Or was, back when gloves had sizes, and were, um, worn.

Have you tried using something like the eGo, or bigger mods? How do you feel about "box" shaped mods?

Where might I find these people? And discover whether an appropriate honorarium would be a glove-like fit for my budget, such as it is, especially since I have now been selected to help a cluster of fine Shamans and pharmaceutical company executives purchase villas in Tuscany. (Hence the longer duration of visits to their tents)

Well, there's basically two different ways you can go, so I would suggest giving some consideration to budget. The first option would be to just seek out recommendations for pre-manufactured mods (Silver Bullet, ProVari, GLV, Darwin, etc.) here: Mods
The second option would be to put a blog entry describing what you are looking for and asking for suggestions. I'm betting enough people enjoy your entries that you'll be overwhelmed with suggestions! ;)

I think the wireless ones I have now may be 4.2 freshly charged, it seems like I saw that somewhere in the V4L section, but even freshly charged is just not the same as my electric hookah-doodle.

I hope I don't have to try to do it with cobbled together juice...

What do you mean by "cobbled together juice"?

It is of the "510" tribe. I'm too poor and too sedated to try to keep track of two different flavors.

No need to fear, 510->KR808 adapters can be found for less than $5 -- many vendors will include one or more adapters with their mods.

Summer evening thunderstorm right now.

I'm easily distracted by bright, shiny things that are accompanied with loud noises. My favorites in no particular order: Guns, fireworks, and thunderstorms...

minus the guns...I totally resemble this remark :D I'm weather infatuated...tornado season being my very fav. I spent the majority of the spring season camping out on tornado alley live. Saw some FABULOUS live footage this year. I would jump at the chance to ride shotgun with some experienced chasers. There is nothing better than a fierce thunderstorm...and a day without rain....is well, just a day. I should probably live in the NW...but then I would miss all the action of the springtime. I do enjoy the sun...but the perfect temp is 69 degrees. Moving on to bright shiney objects...they are just so sparklie....it's all THEIR fault.

Just use the right USB port, one of them is labeled for "iPad" use and delivers the 2A. The other only does 1A. I have two of them and they work. It doesn't feel as durable as I'd like but the first one I got seven months ago and it's been dropped, thrown (3yo), and batted around by a dog without fail. -Magnus

I know most involved with this thread don't really use mods except for a couple of us but if you had a "dream device" what would you buy?
My dream device has not yet been made...

It would be variable power like the Darwin.

It would be a bottom feeding wood mod like the Reo Woodvilles.
It would use a single 18650 battery with a boost circuit like the ProVari so I don't have to mess with multiple batteries.

It would have an on/off mechanism.
It would have a simple dial to adjust power like the Buzz Pro uses to adjust voltage.

Until someone comes out with this, I will continue to soldier on with my Chucks.

The occasional thunderstorm... the only thing missing in San Diego.
Maybe I should have traded an earthquake for a few random thunderstorms.

:(

After living in Florida, San Diego was disappointing as far as extreme weather is concerned to say the least.

Lolady if you would like to try a mod that will do 5 volts I have a couple I'd be willing to lend you to try out. The Tekk mod which I have can be used to charge my iPhone, Ipad
and some of my mods like the Darwin too!
I have a small, very small lending library for those who have participated in this thread.
If you would send me a pm perhaps we can work something out?

I do not have any cigarette type {volt, magma} devices that will do 5v, however
but I may have something to suit your needs as I have the same type of issues with my hands/wrists.

You obviously have not used or seen an Alii'a!
They rock! Unfortunately somebody broke into their shop and robbed them of all their tools.
Until further notice they are out of business as far as I know.
If you would like to try one out I have a VV model of the Alii'a I'm willing to loan to you.
What do you say my friend?
Just send me a pm and we could work out the details if you'd like.
