My friends ...
I know it might be an e-cig politically incorrect thing to say ...
But I suggest the war against e-cigarettes for all practical purposes
in the US is over...and we now are fighting battles against Lies, Taxes,
and E-smoking bans. E-smoking bans in apartments will just be ignored.

I suggest the FDA will NOT even attempt to pull a stunt banning
the sale of all e-cigarettes marketed after 2009. If the FDA
tries to come down hard on the e-cigarette industry ...
They will get sued ... and the last thing the FDA wants is
to lose in court AGAIN. So... they would rather do nothing
than risk this happening ... AGAIN.

Will the FDA do "something" ... sometime in the future?
Sure the will ... They have to save face.
However the FDA today ... doesn't not want to be added
to the list of Government Agency scandals.

Smoking will never be socially accepted again.
The "Appearance" of smoking (e-smoking) will someday
be reluctantly "Tolerated" ... Don't expect the non-smoking
public to accept e-smoking in the same category as if we
were just chewing gum.

E-smoking is much more than an alternative to smoking
which is saving Millions of Lives ... Its also an Extremely Popular
World-wide Enthusiastic Enjoyable HOBBY...and to a large degree
this is why ... E-smoking and vape machines other than cig-a-likes
AND Flavors with various Nicotine levels .... are here to stay !!

There will always be those who will say they don't like
even the appearance of smoking...but in time they will
be less vocal because many will simply no longer interested
in hearing their easily offended opinions.

Summary:
Keep up the good fight against all the lies, e-smoking bans, and taxes
with conviction there will be a day when those opposed to e-smoking
will reluctantly give up ... and they will "get a life" !!
:p

I agree that it is "less likely" that all vaping will be banned. The big "BUT" is whether the restrictions will make vaping into something that few of us will recognize or find helpful in staying off analogs.

If we are restricted to "proprietary sealed carts only" for using eliquid, then it will be close enough to a ban that it will make little difference.

Careful wv2win.

Someone will see that you agreed with me on Something. And then the Little Credibility that you have left will be Gone.

LOL

You prove the old adage that "even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut". My creditablity is like the Pacific ocean in comparison to your creditability which is more akin to a dog's water bowl.

Vicki Haberman- Sanford Respiratory Therapy: "You're basically setting yourself up to be a guinea pig for cigarette companies that are marketing these devices."
[ironic mode:eek:n] So it would better for you to stick with the already tested and known stinkies.....[ironic mode:eek:ff]

This statement is an example of sly negative innuendo the antis excel at (they're reduced to innuendo because they lack facts to support their negativity). Doesn't the term "guinea pig for cigarette companies" just ooooooze evil?!

Very astute and well stated.

And thanks for supporting CASAA by having the CASAA banner on your posts. It's too bad that some are not supportive of CASAA and won't help make others aware of their importance.

AGREED!! Though I have to say, there have been MANY productive threads in the new member area about CASAA. The vets of this forum have been doing a great job creating awareness and have converted "newbies" into CASAA members.

After I posted that, I got to thinking about it. (I do that a lot. Too much time on my hands...) Another thing popped out about that statement: In addition to the "sly innuendo" is that she makes it sounds like ecigs are a totally new, untested-in-the-real-world product, otherwise why need guinea pigs to test them on? So she is either ignorant of or ignoring the fact that hundreds of thousands of people have been using ecigs for years!

Which popped out a new t-shirt design idea: I'm a Guinea Pig for Vaping and Proud of It!

She's just making sure she keeps the BP reps that come with freebies to her office happy. If she didn't they would certainly not shower her and her staff with gifts during the holidays. I know how it works, I worked in a large hospital in Southern California.

I think a lot of e-cig users would and will boycott the tobacco companies devices if they are educated in the politics and agendas behind the scenes. Blu may be the exception as they existed before being purchased by Lorillard. The new user I think is the only market they can capture.

With more regulations will mean more state laws. More laws will probably lead to more taxes. Lets hope e cigs and accessories don't get regulated and taxed like analogs
Years ago, someone posted ...
When governments find a way to tax e-cigarettes
like the analogs ... much of the opposition to vaping
will vanish.
