Good article, thanks for pointing it out.
I agree with the conclusions drawn by the writers, this will end in taxation. The amount will determine the direction the ecig industry will take, too much and good night industry.
I wonder if retailers are as far as considering the next phase of market development? Should their even be development beyond ex smokers and if ex smokers are the only market are ecigs them a cessation method?

The most important part of that article was that lawsuits could very likely strike down existing bans on e-cigarette usage, and I'll be pleased to assist anyone who files a lawsuit challenging an e-cigarette usage ban.

E-cigarettes are not likely to face much if any risk of taxation for several years, and the outcome of those proposals will be determined by the legislative advocacy (or lack thereof) by e-cigarette vendors, consumers, public health groups and motivated legislators.

Hmmm... This is a publication aimed at smokeshop owners?
In the two months I've been vaping, the local smokeshop has gone from one brand to four brands of e-cigs...
They even have a decent stock of liquid.
Cheaper to buy online, but I like the convenience of brick and mortar...
Plus my $$$ stays local.
But I hate the smell of analogues that permeates the place.
Who'da thunk?
