Hi all,
Just had some questions about the legality of usage of "e-cigs" in public places, particularly in California. Are they truly legal to use in indoor public places(malls, stores, etc)? Are no laws written against it yet?

If anyone has any official/.gov links they can post, I'd appreciate it. I'd just like to know what current laws are in place on e-cigarettes/PV's. It seems like there's a lot of "gray" areas regarding to vaporizers.

Thank you.

P.S., I'm aware we have a legality forum here, but there hasn't been a post in that forum for over 3 months. mods please don't move:)

I am in California and have yet to find anyplace I couldn't use my vaporizer. Restaurants, bars, stores and even in LAX at the bar. Heck, I even did it on the plane, the stewardess didn't say a word when she saw it. No problems encountered yet, and I am not shy about using it.

Edited to add: Most of these places people have seen them, apparently others have paved the way. I get very few people who have never seen them, most people know exactly what it is and are positive about the quitting smoking thing.

Thanks for the response, vsummer1! I've just been wondering because I have had some security guards, etc question what I'm doing & what not. It just seems like there aren't many laws that include "e-cigs" or vaporizer usage. But maybe I'm just not google-ing hard enough lol. Looking for something I can refer to.

I live in California Also.

From what I uderstand, there is No Current State wide Laws Regarding e-Cig.

But I do know that the Campus I work on and just about every State & County Building has "'No tobacco Products" signs posted.

...

I vape everywhere, but then I'm long past being around schools and I try hard to avoid governmental buildings. Next time they call me for jury duty, however, my Reo is going along for the duration. ;) That ought to be interesting, LOL.

You start hitting on a REO inside a Court Build and the Next Time you are in Court, you might just be on the Other Side of the Jury Box.

LOL

They are gonna look pretty silly hassling a 72 yr old white haired woman in the process ;)

Yeah... That is True.

But you know how Broke the State is. Seems like any chance they get to Squeze a Fine out of Someone, they do.

Fly Low and Keep it Under the Radar if you Must vape in Government Buildings.
