Freaking out about stuff like that is relative to how stupid you want to look. Everyone knows that PG is not antifreeze just like margarine is not plastic but some people don't mind looking like idiots by telling everyone that they are the same thing. Heck, I made a 68 in chemistry and I even know that!

Oh, I think you are giving the general populace too much credit. If the FDA said that our juice contained the essence of the Anti-Christ in it, the general populace would believe it, because why would the FDA lie to them?

The FDA says that e-cigs have anti-freeze in them, and the general public nods their head in approval of the good work that the FDA does in protecting us, they won't question the findings, they won't even bother to look up PG to find out what it actually is, what else it is used in, etc. And they won't believe you for telling them that PG is used in fog machines simply because you aren't the FDA, how could you know better than the government agency tasked with protecting us from harmful products.

Its sad really.

You got that right. Our government and Big Pharma is angry because they didn't invent them and haven't yet figured out a way to tax them.

Yet they recommend and even give away nicotine patches that don't work.

The FDA. Phht. I wouldn't put too much credence in what the FDA has to say. They can't even keep the DOG FOOD supply safe, never mind what is "good" for us.

That's not a fact, that's an often repeated internet rumor. I'm not even sure how it could be true, since margarine isn't a single homogeneous material, each brand has a different chemical makeup, and there are several types of plastic. Just sayin.

So I grabbed some KY and showed them the main ingredients (PG) and told them I was having a big party and needed A LOT of lube..they cut the conversation short after that, sold it to me quickly, and now won't even look me in the eye anymore when I go to buy it..so sometimes ignorance works in our favor..

To all those anti smoking cupcakes out there, your always saying how nicotine is so bad for us, well if thats the case i hope your ready to give up eating pizza, or lasagna, because those have tomatoe sauce in them and guess what...tomatoes have nicotine in them too...oh and don't forget the french fries...potatoes also have nicotine in them....i wonder if thats why kids get so addicted to frenchfries. I wanted to let you know that TobaccoHarmReduction.org submitted our comments to FDA and we will post them on our blog (probably tomorrow).

Also, since I noticed I had been mentioned in this thread, I thought I would express my appreciation for the good words. For those who are interested in what I am / we are doing, we are about to start a new phase of our work. I expect I will probably be asking for thoughts and comments from this forum about some of our plans (and, yes, I know I already have some from EK I need to respond to).

E-cigs were probably invented in the USA decades ago, but Big Pharma and Big Tobacco bought and buried it...and some would argue that PV's were actually introduced in America back in the 30's.
