I started my journey of quitting analogs on the first of the year, for two weeks I had only one analog first thing in the morning and vaped the rest of the day and night two weeks ago i ran out of analogs and have been completely off cigs, I have really noticed much of a difference in my breathing, in fact my breathing seems to be somewhat worse, I also have this weird thing where i am constantky needing to clear my throat, the only change for the better has been a reduction in the smokers cough has anyone had this happen or can anyone shed any light on this? Soory in advance as I know this has probably been discussed somewhere in another thread but I was unable to find it, thanks

Bear in mind I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on discussion boards, but most likely you have a case of what's called "quitter's flu." It's just your lungs and bronchial passages throwing off years worth of accumulated crud.

Everyone's case is different: some don't have any problem, but some have quitter's flu for several weeks. In my case, it felt like a cold (but with no fever or any other the other rinovirus symptoms). I was hawking up lung oysters for almost three weeks.

Be sure to drink lots of water! And make sure it's water and not coffee, tea, soft drinks or energy drinks. All of those will dry you out and just make the secretions sticky like library paste.

FWIW, you might actually be coming down with one of the nasty viruses or a flu strain. This seems to have been a particularly bad winter for those, at least in my neck of the woods.
