Remember, though, kids, this stuff is getting heated up to a couple hundred degrees before we inhale it. Not sure many tests have been done to determine what that does to you.

Here's a post I made on Right To Vape in a thread where concerns about possible toxicity from heating of PG were being raised:

Re the concern about PG decomposition: This study which ruled out toxic effects of fog-making fluids, one PG based and one Glycerin based, specifically looked for evidence of decomposition resulting in toxicity, but found none, at temperatures of 150 and 250 degrees centigrade.

That sounds really good given the concerns elsewhere expressed about acrolein from VG/Glycerin decompostion too.

So yes, while both PG and VG could potentially break down into more toxic compounds with very high temperatures as we have seen in other reports and postings, it appears that at the temperatures we are using, both PG and VG stay intact and give off vapors composed of simply PG and VG. This is further evidence, in addition to Dr. Laugesen's reports, as to safety when PG is vaporized in ecigs.
