You are most likely running at too high a voltage. The Kamry is a mechanical mod without regulation. You can adjust your ego, I assume. IMHO, I would not run a tank on a mechanical without a regulator like a kick or crown. That is a low resistance head, so you are most likely running at a significantly higher wattage than you did with the ego. Based on a fresh battery, you are running on about 9.2 watts. I run my devices on no more than 8 watts. Here is a calculator that might be able to help Ohm's Law Calculations With Power General rule of thumb is that you want to run your atomizer at a voltage that is two times the resistance. A 1.8 ohm coil would run at about 3.6 volts. A new battery in a Kamry should be around 4.2 volts, too high. The Kamry really isn't meant for BCCs, it is more suited to RBAs and RDAs. Hope this helps, good luck and have fun.

So if I change to a coil head @ 2.0Ohm or 2.5Ohm it should work better?

your protank isn't wicking right. What pg/vg mix juice are you using? Anything high in vg won't work right in it

My wife runs 10/90 PG/VG in her Mini Protank 2 all day long. Other than a flood one time that I caused she has absolutely no problem with it feeding. We know exactly what's in our juice, we purchase it at a local B&M and we stand right there and watch them mix it so there's nothing to "thin" it out.

I would not run a tank on a mechanical without a regulator like a kick or crown.
I run my Protank 2 on a Galileo mech mod, have since day one and never had a burnt taste. But I do use the stock 2.2 coils then once they're done I re-coil them with a micro at 2.0.

I use a Smoktech Aro tank bottom coil at 1.8 ohms on a EHPro mechanical

When the battery is fresh, the first 5 or so hits can be rather burnt (50/50 mix) those AW batteries can throw out some power so I tend to take short pulls initially. After a dozen hits, I can then vape with no burning issues. Compared to the larger coils in RBAs generally used for mechanicals, the smaller coils/wicks can fry juice with a fresh battery.

You can go with a higher ohm coil as others have pointed out or use a different clearo. I'm pondering the Aspire ET-S myself with those 1.8 ohm dual coils, not sure if that would eliminate the problem or not. Or I could get a Kayfun 3.1 and use the Aro when going out and about, at least we all have choices.

I use a Protank II with normally a 20/80 VG heavy mix. Sometimes I forget to change the settings after using a 50/50 juice. When I get a burnt taste, it's usually wattage too high (I keep it at 6.0 - 6.5) or voltage too high (I keep it around 3.3 - 3.5). I use 1.8 - 2.2 ohm coils. Sometimes it's the coil and/or wick that's gunked up. Clean it, dry fire, and rewicking takes care of it.
