I'm having an odd issue that I'm hoping the combined experience of this forum can help with....
My favorite e-juices are Cereal Killa by South 9, and Revel by Cloud Company. My issue is that the longer I have my juice, the darker and worse tasting it becomes. In not talking after months, but after only a week or two... I keep my juices in my book bag, not next to a window or anything... And I take my bag everywhere with me. My local shop has sample bottles of these that have been there for months with out any negative effects. Still delicious, same light amber color... And I can't say it's his stock cause the first few tanks are amazing!
Case and point : could it be the heat penetrating my bag? Could it be the frequency of how often I open the bottle? Too much oxygen getting let in? Maybe the bottle isn't air tight enough? Could it be the constant movement? I know, I'm reaching here, but I'm just so unsure of what could be causing this... Does anyone have any insight, or tips on how to keep your juice as fresh as possible? It seems to happen to me with all flavors, not only Cereal Killa... Thank you in advance!

I have some juices I foolishly kept on a ledge behind my kitchen counter in the clear glass bottles they came in. Unfortunately, the light really has changed them. The flavor is not just much weaker and degraded but so unpleasant I had to empty it out of my tank.

I'd guess that yes, it's probably a combination of heat and air that is changing your juices. I'm surprised how much just light changed those three bottles of mine.

My setup is irrelevant..... Yes it has a low amount of nicotine but once again, irrelevant since the sample bottle the store has is the original color and mine is extremely dark. Even the store owner smelled it and tried it and was dumbfounded.... It's not exposed to light in my bag but definitely heat. My best guess is the heat and oxygen as previously stated.... I just thought maybe it was something common I didn't know about.

Try a test; get two bottles, leave one stashed away at home in a cool, dark place, and carry the other one with you like you normally do. See if there's a difference after a week or two regarding taste. If the one you're carrying around is bad, and the one you've got stashed at home is good, that might give you an answer.

I've had a bottle of Cereal Killa that is 8 months old...I'm vaping it right now and it is still fantastic. I keep my juices in an old humidor and out of the way of direct sunlight. The only time I've had problems with bad juice is stuff that has arrived from a retailer bad. I'd suggest getting a humidor of some kind.

My bet is vapor tongue.

If you are keeping a few in your bag, you are probably readily consuming those few flavors over and over as stated "Your favorites". A selection to keep your pallet fresh would not usually fit in that scenario.

Go vape some menthol mint cinnamon for a few days, drink lots of water and brush your tongue every day.

Just some thoughts that may help. I have 30 different juices and they are just getting better with age and some are heat steeped.
