Well, for one the company seems shady from jump so that put me off in a big way but the fact they don't sell "candy flavors that might appeal to children," just lost any business from me if I were even in a mind to give them business.

I am on the backside of 40 and I thoroughly enjoy my flavors of peach (shout out to Good Prophets & My Freedom Smokes), cherry (shout out to GP & MFS), Ry4 (shout out to Janty), and the many others I've tried in fruit and candy-like flavors. I even love the cotton candy flavor in the double flavor strength & 33% flavor strength in cotton candy from MFS. If it gets too strong, I mix it down but I for one enjoy the flavored e-liquid. It's a break and as other women have shared with me as well as me with them, the flavored "candy" flavorings keeps us from eating the candies thus preventing weight gain.

For all the great things e-cigs do, the one thing it doesn't do, at least for me, is curb the food cravings like tobacco cigarettes but considering the flavors & now my chance to mix my own flavors coming up (Thanks DIY Store w/ their great, wonderful sales lady Dawn!). I don't know how well I will be at mixing my own flavors but the truth of the matter is that I will never know until I try so I am going to try and try and try until I get it right but that doesn't mean I won't be picking up a bottle or so of pre-mixed and ready to go e-liquids but I will learn to make my own flavors one way or another. I love flavors. One of the first flavors I want to try to make once my kit comes in is a champagne with chocolate strawberries. I don't know how well it will turn out but I'm going to give it a shot. Second only to truffles and chocolate-covered strawberries from Godiva is champagne with chocolate covered strawberries. Wish me luck.

Warmest regards to all. Keep strong in the struggle for our non-tobacco/non-FDA taking-over-cigarettes to make up for all that lost revenue for their buddies in the Pharma and Tobacco companies!

eLight - Welcome, and thanks for the informative post - I'll get back to reading the second half in a moment.

As you can imagine, people here feel strongly about vaping and the future is uncertain, so tensions can rise easily.

btw: you probably need to declare your status as a supplier in the forums.

ps: finished reading and I my feeling is that while i can understand the hardware quality issue, I think the carts are too expensive and the description wrt 'equivalent to 20 cigs' misleading (9). On point 5, Leaving people with equipment when their only atomiser dies is not a good situation to put people into. I hope you will think over these points; this is certainly not bashing, just constructive criticism. You might need to look longer term for reaping rewards.

I have already signed up and paid the monthly fee as a "Supporting Supplier" but the forum has not indicated that next to my user name. I have done everything I can see on the website to support it as a e-cig vendor, I think it just takes time to update.

As for the "equilivant to 20 cigs" is not made on the website - it is very well explained ont he website. We tell people that it contains the same nicotine content as 20 Marlboro lights, which is not misleading - it is completely accurate. We take time to explain to people all the ins and outs of e-cigs; something my competition does not do.

As for my cartridge price, I am dirt cheap compared to my competition in the retail malls. This website is there in support of the retail stores, so those customers can buy their replacement cartridges and warranty their products online without having to go back to the store.

Smoking everywhere is charging $179.99 for a kit with 1 battery and 5 cartridges in the Chicago malls. They also charge $15 for 5 cartridges. As you can see my prices are MUCH better and the quality is no comparison. I understand you can get things cheaper online, and many of you are DIYers.

I am very comfortable with my pricing structure as I give a superior quality product and more of if for a lot less than my retail competition locally.

It is accurate in terms of mg equivalent, but in a practical sense a cart will be equivalent to just 4 or 5 cigs. Perhaps you do explain that; i've not seen your website.

Apart from improved packaging (well done for that) the juice is nothing special though. I get the hardware and warranty times; I don't get the cart pices though and think people will just buy their juice elsewhere.

My Elite cartridge lasts on average 180 puffs. People are told to take about 9 average puffs to supply them with the same nicotine as smoking 1 marlboro light. I have tested the cartridges many, many times and 180 is the average for my product. Again, DIYer are not my target market. I can appreciate how cheap you can get liquid, but $1 to $1.33 per cartridge is not that expensive for consumers to get lab test verified cartridges. We will just have to agree to disagree on this issues as I feel my prices are very good for what you get.

I dont have your product to hand. Perhaps you are right, but most carts do only around 70 puffs.

It's encouraging though that you are for debate, aiming for high quality and spreading the word. Time will tell ...

Being as well researched as you have been Elight, you might want to take a look at the location of your kiosk in Illinois, it is located near, food court where nothng but teens hang out at, also near the water fountain area where families with kids spend their time. not a prime location for someone trying to make their product to be in better standings.

"As for the "equilivant to 20 cigs" is not made on the website - it is very well explained on the website. Also i would love to see a cartridge truly delivers a pack of cigarettes in 1 cartridge, I spoke with you on the phone the other day and when i asked how long does 1 cartridge last compared to a cigarette you stated " about 20 cigarettes". Many other suppliers if not all explain the life span of a cartridge based on the model they sell. Confusing a person new to this product by stating "We tell people that it contains the same nicotine content as 20 Marlboro lights, which is not misleading", Is misleading. cause from that standpoint i would either assume you are not answering the question correctly when they ask HOW MANY, or stating that 1 cartridge has the same nicotine dosage as 20 cigarettes. Another point if i may,, If you are now stating that 1 cartridge has the same nicotine content as 20 cigarettes,,, isnt that a bit extreme, as many vapers here know people can burn thru a cartridge in 3-5 cigarettes worth.. so to vape down nicotine content equivalent to 20 ciagrettes in what normally takes a user for 3-5 makes or atleast sounds more dangerous. my wife was also told in the mall that 1 cartridge was equivalent to 20 cigarettes, NOT 1 cartridge has the nicotine equivalent of 20 cigarettes.
Perhaps you meant the DURATION of 1 cartridge not the nicotine content.??

i am not here to bash talk as i am a very open supplier and never like to start a quirm with any other supplier as we are all here to HELP not HURT. but i do recomend giving clear simply responses to people who are new,

Also,

not sure why you made this point, but you also stated on the phone that your price is normally 179$, but currently being sold for 149$... so stating of another supplier that sells or sold their product at the same range as you does not have justification.

one last thing i am a bit confused also when you had told me on the phone that the liquid and cartridges are made in Europe, and the rest of the parts are made " in other countries".. why didnt you just say China?

Jason again this is not a slam to you or how to run your business, but more of a curiosity as many of your statements are still misleading.

IMO 10mg carts won't make it for most people. When I say most I mean persons that I myself have introduced to vaping. We only absorb a tenth or so of that, (according to a ruyan study, correct me if I am wrong). I myself smoked a pack to a pack and a half daily mbl lights, and while 11mg cut it the first day of vaping, myself and almost every single person that has got a kit through me has ended up having to use 24mg to keep satisfied. For myself 18 or less in any vaporizer keeps me chain vaping. 24mg allows me periods of time to put it down. Unless it's my 601, the pipe seems to be very efficient at vaping lower nic levels. You absorb about 1mg from a cigarette but it has much more than that in it. My experience has been that if they start with anything under 18 they either end up giving it up and calling the ecig a POS or coming back for something stronger. If your model is like most, half of that 10mg juice is going to be wasted in the bottom of the cart and produce poor vaping results. I have not used a model yet that I did not have to continually put 2 drops on top even when its mostly full to keep myself getting a good "hit". Most of us are already well aware of this and it is the case with every model and cart I have used. I can not speak for Elight models, I would love to test one and see if it stands up.

Jason i am NOT reaching straws. IF you think i am here posting to slam or put some sort of negative spin on your spot on ECF or anywhere including the public eye you are very very wrong. i was stating things which i found misleading and asking for you to clarify. as i stated i am not bashing how you run your business or your prices.
I never stated anything about your product or how it preforms., i was asking questions. i couldn't give a positive or negative statement on your product since i never tried one
So if you like, continue to post you negative replies. this is a place to discuss not disrupte the Ecig community. you have every right to reply to comments as does everyone else, but if you like to make this a competitor bash war i suggest you rethink your business marketing skills. You have every right to hold your head up high you have great intentions! and solid product and plan.

Your math is wrong. You are comparing the MG per Gram, and I am talking about ACTUAL MG in a cartridge. Mine are 36mg per gram, and a cartridge has about .3 grams of liquid, which is 10mg. If you would go to my websites and look at the labs you will see. My High nicotine is 36mg, where most others are 24 or even as low as 18. This is mg/g, not actual mg in a cartridge. Mine are 36mg, or 10mg per cartridge
I see. I should have thought about how much liquid the cart holds. I am sure however most people will not think of that either.

I see you are selling Joye 510's. I know Frank, the owner of Joye, he is a great guy. I had dinner with him while I was in Shenzhen last time. I have quite a few pictures of his factory where your products are made. I like Frank a lot, he is a very good guy, but the lack of specilized test equipment kept me from using him to manufacturer anything for me. I will leave it at that. I can say that he was my 2nd favorite manufacturer so you made a pretty solid choice.

Please explain what "specilized test equipment" was lacking. seeing as the 510 is currently one of, if not the most popular model out right now. it would be very good to know as one of the many suppliers and to our consumers what was lacking so much that drew you away from Joye.

Product officially went on sale August 1st, 2009. I started my product development research in February 2009, and production stared in May.

Houston we have a PROBLEM !

In April of this year my Domain and product names were trademarked (on my behalf ) by Hyperdrive Systems out of Portland Oregon. I will verify and be in touch.

Cheers !

TimmyT

Here is my precision math:

Marlboro red 1.2mg nicotine per cigarette/10mg cart = 8.3 cigarettes
Marlboro light .8mg nicotine per cigarette/10mg cart = 12.5 cigarettes

By my math I would get 4 to 6 MBL reds or 6 to 10 mbl lights, unless your product wastes absolutely no liquid at all...

My nic content numbers came from FTC sources...

This is why i dont do the 11mg, 18mg, 24mg etc advertising. It is misleading to people becuase they get a cartridge that says 18mg and they think it contains 18mg of nicotine. This is an industry wide way to advertise and rate cartridges but I feel it is misleading and confusing to people. I am trying to break that trend and tell people exactly how much nicotine is in their cartridge, and the only way to do that with absolute certainty is to lab test.

If everyone knew the amount of money I spend on my QC initiatives you would fall out of your chair.

Is there any other brand sold here that has an employee supervising production in China? I highly doubt it, I would even go as far as to say I would bet on it.

How about a company lab testing liquid before producing cartridges, then again testing the finished cartridges and posting not only the results but the labs info so you can contact them to verify if you would like? Again - NO.

How about a company that tests each product with specialized machinery and then by hand before assembling it in the box for sale to the consumer? No, No and No.

I named the product the Elite for a reason....

WE are not judging your QC , we are asking clarification on the descriptions of nicotine per cart vs a cigarette, and asking what lack of testing at Joye made you walk away from them
