The light headed feeling you get, is mostly the lack of oxygen, from the carbon monoxide in cigarettes

It is probably part of it but I can get a good buzz off of just nic in an e-cig. If you can't get it with vaping your nic level or your vapor production is too low. I drink a ton of mountain dew also so it may help get the buzz going

yup ...Sorry,we can't really achieve that by "vaping" ....well ....I guess, you could hold your breath .... JK

An analog only takes a few drags to get it when you haven't had one for awhile. An e-cig takes a little chain vaping. To say the buzz is from lack of oxygen is ridiculous. The buzz is from the nic. If you can't get it from an e-cig your nic is too low.

A tobacco buzz is because nicotine is a chemical that acts on nicotinic acetlycholine receptors, which are neurotransmitters. nicotine also releases dopamine, a reward system chemical ... it also acts as an MAOI inhibitor, monoamine oxidase breaks down other neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine. so it acts on alot of chemicals, some directly and some indirectly by inhibiting the breakdown of the neurotransmitters.

Yes the buzz is for sure from nicotine and all the other items as well, but the carbon monoxide, also has something to do with it, only repeating what people alot smarter than me have discovered.

I agree the other stuff in an analog helps to create a LITTLE stronger buzz than you can get with just nic in an e-cig. I don't care if someone smarter than me say's it isn't possible since my experience shows it is quite easy as I do it on demand. I got one going as I type this

hmmm
I'm thinking your "To say the buzz is from lack of oxygen is ridiculous." comment is PURE RUDENESS comin' from a Noob ...But Hey that is just my opinion !
My opinions come from over 13 months of Vaping & Thousands of hours of reading here @ ECF & other places ... on subjects related to Nicotine & Maoi's .
Where do your opinions come from ?

Thanks SDH for your response ....I may need to try the WTA juice ??? Higher NIC gives ME headaches not the BUZZ that cigs did, not that I am in search of the BUZZ...But the depression issues are not passing like I thought they would as time goes on . hmmm I am not sure that I would want to reintroduce all the MAOI's & alkaloids that I have worked so hard to avoid for over a year now ...

I think I got that 'buzz' when I first started smoking. Maybe after that if I hadn't had a cig for several hours and ran outside and had a fast one I got a slight buzz. The first one was sorta fun, I was about 15. After that it made me feel sick. I guess my buzz days were over and I was just left with the addiction.

If I'm craving a cigarette and I vape, I don't crave a cigarette anymore. That's all I'm looking for. A little buzz might be nice though.:2cool:

It depends on what you mean by "buzz."

THere's a relaxation, a positive "oh yeah" feeling that goes with a cigarette hitting your system. Relaxed, yet alert. I love it. Working late, energy flowing, creative, energy flowing, nicotine keeping me sharp. Absolutely LOVE it. And yeah- get that from the ecig.

But some people, when they say "buzz," mean that dizzy feeling, the headiness that's almost wooziness that comes from the first one in the morning, or the first one after a period of abstinence. THAT is primarily carbon monoxide. (You can get it without the nicotine.) It is greatly increased by going way up in altitude. (Which supports the hypothesis that it's about oxygen, and lack thereof.) But I've also heard that nicotine affects the inner ear, so no doubt it's a combination of factors.

THAT buzz, for me, is not available from ecigs. I've vaped for a while (closing in on a year), and it just doesn't happen. Not that it's necessary. And my nic isn't "too low." I've tried a lot of different strengths- more nic will make me nauseaus, and and headachy. But it won't replicate that buzz.

It's funny, though- I don't have cigarette cravings at all anymore. I vape quite frequently, but it no longer feels like a way to make the cig cravings go away- it's just something I do. :)

Best,
Ande
