Okay so I am totally confused when it comes to vaping.

For the past week i have been enjoying apple jolly ranger (goodejuice), red raspberry (canadaejuice), hawaiian punch (canadaejuice), irish cream, and more. 3 days ago they started all tasting different, the red raspberry started tasting like butter, the irish cream, hawain punch and apple jolly rancher started tasting too sweet.. Its hard enough to find ejuices i like, but now the ejuices i like suddenly taste different =(

Why is this ;(

Vapers tongue? Your taste buds get a little confused at times. After I vape the same juice for a while, I start to not be able to taste it.

Also if you're dripping, there will be flavor overlap if the same cotton is used (not saying to change your cotton on every flavor, just know there is overlap).

Same with tanks if not cleaned between flavors and cotton changed.

Of course your coil / cotton can just be going bad.

Lastly , juices change over time. It's possible certain flavor notes are now coming out and / or not coming out due to the juice maturing. Also the device / setup has a lot to do with how a specific juice tastes. A hotter vape brings out different notes.

You can just seal that juice up, put it away for a week and then try it. After you pallete clears up, the juice will probably taste good again.

There are many reasons flavor can change, juice, device, person using.
Juice ages and the flavor can change. Most people, creating a new juice, steep (age) their juice at least two weeks to let the flavors combine. Air can make a juice darken quicker and change the flavor.
Your device has a lot to do with the flavor. The older the cotton or coils get the more it affects the flavor. Tanks, RDA's combined with wattage among other things have a lot to do with flavor.
Vapers tongue is something that can happen when your taste buds become to used to a flavor, usually making it muted.

Sorry seek2, you beat me to the punch.

I had vapors tongue before, and it just made me not able to taste the flavor, so I am not sure it would cause this also?

This is the flavor tasting different, and its happening to all my flavors . I could maybe understand if it was just 1 or 2 flavors, but all of them, it is very strange. its so hard for me to find flavors i like, and now the flavors i do like I suddenly dont like after only vaping them for a week =(

Has anyone had problems like this? I mean out of the 50 flavors i have right now, I dont like any of them. :( Before i liked 6 of them.

I understand your frustration. Finding flavors you like is probably the most difficult, and most important, thing a vaper faces.

I seriously doubt it is the flavors that have changed. It's your "sense of taste" that has changed. A form of vapor's tongue, but not as severe. It occurs to most vapers. It usually passes over time, just as vaper's tongue does.

I suggest exhaling some of the vapor you inhale out through your nose if you are not already. It might help. Our sense of smell greatly affects our sense of taste. We know this to be true when you have a head cold, your nose is all stopped up, and you are unable to taste food or drink as before. Again, its temporary.

Also practice good oral hygiene, including lightly brushing your tongue. Drink plenty of water as vaping can cause mild dehydration and a dry mouth can contribute to vaper's tongue.

Change flavors frequently. Vaping the same flavor over and over every day can cause taste fatigue.

I get bored with flavors so often I change up 4 times a day at a minimum. Sometime when I vape too many deserts or sweets nothing tastes good anymore and I have to go back to my old reliable DIY Tobacco. For the vape tongue I have heard so many things and I drink lemon flavored water but others have suggested eating a pickle, drinking coffee or eat a yogurt. The pickle does work I can attest to that.

Good Luck and I hope you enjoy vaping again by the weekend!

@tara81 What are you vaping with? Are they pre built coils? You may just have to change.

Vapers tongue doesn't really make juice taste bad, just bland.

Interesting about the desserts. Mainly what I vape and have been seeing this more and more lately.

Exhaling from your nose can help. I get better flavor. But I'm so juiced out lately, can't taste much.

Yeah so frustrated ! This is why I quit vaping 2 years ago and just came back to it 3 weeks ago lol.
Give yourself some time. Don't give up. Your taste buds will change over time. Some people taste flavors strong and others (like myself) tend to find the same flavors week. I had a horrible time trying to find flavors I liked and could stick to. I have about a handful I use daily. Do you make your own? May be something to consider then you can make your juice as strong or week as you like.

This happens to me as well. Rule one for me is steer clear of 30mot bottles of juice. I never vape more than two tanks of one juice. I usually have two flavors in rotation. A vanilla and a fruit. If my vanilla is off, then usually my other juice is fine and vice versa. I drink coffee, soda and water... sometimes that affects my flavor. Not drinking enough water threw out a week will also mess me up. I buy jugs of water for my water bottle and try to keep it filled. Especially good for on the go.

One last thing.... I tried the uwell crown tank. And I tried various coils... it's a sub ohm tank. After buying it I had to buy a mod that would fire .5 coils.... my juice always tastes good in this tank. I only taste on the exhale, but it really seems more satisfying than a regular vape. I've been using alice in vapeland juice in high vg and 3 nic.

I tried the other coils.there are the 1.2 and .25, all I did was cough.

The other thing I did was buy a cheap little trident clone. It's a dropper with a tighter draw. Simple to build on for a novice. I have a 1 ohm coil built on it and when my juice tastes funny I just put in fresh cotton and change the juice.

The uwell crown is by far the best set up I've had. And I've tried a lot. I've spent thousands of dollars on vape.products.

Also it is easy to change flavors. I keep two coils I. Rotation. When. I cha get flavors, I rinse the coil with water and let it dry, I. The meantime use another coil until it's time to change flavors again. If the flavors are similar no need to do anything with the coils, just take a few hits till the old flavor is gone

I would say check the juice manufacturer out a little more and learn about their liquids, how many people vape them and if they are indeed quality juices. Secondly I would check your coil, whichever type your using. Coils go bad really quickly with a lot of these devices, I mean I have noticed flavors changing in my Aspire Cleito the same day. This is why I'm back on my RDA with the claptons. I use Cotton Candy Cotton which is so gosh darn good its unbelievable. Start building basic rda's and you will change your vape game for sure.

The fact is taste is subjective in every sense of the word. I find that even after 6+ years of vaping and DIYing my own juice that a one day a juice tastes one way, the next another. Same juice, same device, same wattage, different taste. What has changed is my perception of it. The brain is a mysterious and squishy thing.

Wel Actually I have had this. Especially with the Capella Lemon meringue pie flavor. I could vape it for a day and really enjoy it, but after that the enjoyable flavors go numb and the harsh flavors stay. After a day It feels like I am vaping a really really bad tobacco flavor. So for me it is possible that part of the flavors gets blocked.

well its like my sweet candy / fruit flavors i like suddenly taste sickly sick, or different altogether, like butter popcorn.

yes using nautilus mini and kanger protank 2 minis with factory coils (1.8 - 2.4 ohms) 8 watts - 10 watts
IMO the protank 2 will burn on longer drags above 5.2 watts. You get more vapor for a short time at a higher setting but then even that goes away. I know some people use higher settings but then a lot of people aren't as much a fan of them as I am. Nautilus is a different story of course.

Differences of technique strongly affect the experience. I don't like vaping outside as much with any kind of wind, seems to kill flavor. Relaxing and being patient with it helps, especially with low output devices.

With all your juices changing, must be you or your hardware. If you smoked up to 3 weeks ago you still can't really taste much. Coils have their ups and downs, sometimes I think one's done and then it seems to get a second wind and get better than ever.

When I used the PT2, I found the sweet spot to be 7-7.5 watts.
