Just got my first battery mod after loving the Riva 510 for the last several months and thought it was time to upgrade.. I bought a stainless steel E-power 14650 from gotvapes and was excied as I opened it and seen how sharp it looked and felt. Well that's about as good as it's got unfortunatly..I charged the batts and put on one of my smoktek DCC 1.5's and was shocked how little vapor came from this thing. I then tried an atty that came with it and on the other battery just to see and no difference it still gave off less than a pleasurable ammount of vapor..then tried the atty and my carto back on my old riva and it hit like a champ.

I havn't called gotvapes yet because I thought I'd ask here first If anyone would possibly know why it's lacking the vape? I really want it to work out cause it's a sharp little piece and a riva would last me most the day so figured this would do better. I hear the switches on these things can suck but it does fire so then I thought mabe the batterys are just junk? any advice would be greatly appreciated. the batts are the stock ones that came with it and the switch is the blue plastic one.

Yeah I heard good and bad and that it's kinda hit or miss with em..heard ccv had an issue with the spring in some of theirs so tinkering around with it now to see if mabe that could be it. The cartos I have I used on my riva smoktech 1.5 dual coils and worked great just sad this things having trouble with em. If I figure it out I'll post back

...how odd...I have a 14650 EP I got from CCV w/blu plastic switch and have had no problems with it...in fact, I am vaping right now with the smoktech 1.5DCCs...and it is working fine...I do, however, prefer the Resurrectors for a warmer vape...personally I give 2 thumbs down on the IMR hi-drains as I had a bad experience on a couple I got from electronicstik.com ...they never worked real well and quickly died over a month period...I was aware of the possible spring problem and had stretched mine...to no avail, they just plain didn't work like they should've...a consideration on the hi drains...they work upto potential with a mechanical mod that requires max power all the time...the E-Power has a regulated switch so, that makes the hi-drains unneeded(IMO).........

thanks everyone for the feedback..I hear the switches are regulated and that they arn't after researching this today for some time. Anyways I did see that they have a new switch out that's suppose to work better with lower resistances so think I may get one of those a spring and some resurrectors...thought I'd be saving money but looks like I coulda went with a lava tube now after having to make another purchace to get this up to my standards ><

That's definitely strange, I have the EPower 14650 as well, and I use it exclusively with Smoktek Dual Coil Cartos (1.5ohms) with no problems at all, and lots of vapor. I did have to replace the batteries after the originals died after 3 weeks, I went with the IMRs. I don't know what could be wrong with yours but it sounds like something definitely is. I would check with gotvapes and see if they might replace it for you.

the batterys only lasted 3 weeks? what are the average life span on these things? I still have my old riva batts after 7 months of use and glad I didn't give em away yet since I'll probably be sending this back for a replacement...The atty's working better than my dual coils right now but the vapes still not very consistant..Dont mean to sound so picky but an airy vape just isnt cuttin the mustard and if this is suppose to be regulated it should be consistant correct? using 50/50 25mg diy juice of my own so should get some killer clouds.
