So I'm not going to go through the specs or anything because this will be more about how it holds up after a few months.

The e-power being a cheap 3.7 device, I didn't have high hopes for it. I thought I would use it as a backup in the glovebox or something. Turns out I really came to like it and I use it more than my other devices. Although I am slowly using it less and less.

I was worried about the build quality when I got it. It felt light and when I first threaded it together it squeaked and took some real working in to get it threaded. Luckily this all sorted itself out.

I have 2 e-powers so the problems I will get into have occurred with both units. The problem is the switch. They worked fine for a couple months or so. The button feels nice and works good until it starts sticking. At first it just started as a short pause from when you release the button to it popping back up. But as time wore on it would stick a little longer. If pushing on the middle it sticks more often. If pushed on the side of the button it would be less likely. Just today one started sticking on completely until i used my fingernail to coax it back up. The other one has a sticky switch but I don't use it as much, so it doesn't have the major stick my black one has.

So on most merits the e-power is a great device. The switch will make me put it away in the glovebox for emergencies. I'm not going to spend $12 for a switch that will likely end up in the same condition in another couple months. It's a shame I really do like it a lot.

So there you go. I've seen a lot of reviews. Just thought I'd give one after use for a while.

Thanks for the review because I've had my eye on one of these units since they came out.

Does it use the same button as the Riva battery? Rubber? I've had a few of the Riva buttons stick like that and found that taking the rubber out, shaving a VERY small slice of the rubber off (back side) fixed them right up!

New to vaping - two and a half weeks; bought a sample e-cig in a store and immediately knew that with the proper equipment in my small price range, I'd be able to "stay quit" ---- something I never wanted to do, but had no choice if I wanted a roof over my head.

I purchased the starter kit for Premiumecigarettes.com, and more batteries, cartomizers, etc. Loved it, but after using it for a few days and researching the PV world, I knew I needed something stronger with a longer battery life to keep on vaping and stay away from cigarettes.

Within my budget, I found the EPower with the new dual coil cartomizers. It just arrived today. I'd learned beforehand that I had to make sure these new dual coil cartos had to be saturated down to the bottom and learned to do that.

The problem I am having is dry, burning hits. And I have no clue why this is happening. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

I'm sorry to hear about the switch issue since you like it so much. Not sure if this is just my first day adjustment or if there is something I am doing wrong to cause this problem.

It will not be my last or only sturdy PV, but it is all I can afford right now and I have to make this work......but I can't "smoke" hot, toasted, dry air......so I'm hoping someone can help me with suggestions. I will call the supplier, but you folks have so much knowledge about it I thought I'd reach out for some help.

Thanks!

My ego has a metal looking plastic button. Most egos I think have a rubber button. I think the e-power button is different. I don't want to pull the button out for fear of never getting it back in.

I use dual coils without any burning whatsoever on 6v. So I'm thinking you must not be filling it up enough. If I can run 6v without burning there is no way you should be burning them. Keep dripping in the top until some starts dripping out the bottom and blow gently to clear the tube. when you look in the top it should look nice and wet. Filling enough is my only suggestion because I have had such good luck with the dual coils. Fill it way too much and blow out the excess. If it still tastes burnt you either have a defective one you ran it dry too much and it's toast. Good luck

I also recently purchased an E-Power and really like it. I am wondering if, when the button gets to a repeatedly sticking point, if you could run water over the unit, wait a few days for it to dry out, and volt it up again? Worth a try, but mine is not there yet.

I was surprised that the battery lasts me most of the day. I have two and always keep the alternate in the charger when I feel I'm not getting the performance I would like.

I use clearomizers and atmoizers... and regular cartomizers. The clearomizers are my favorite, but they are not for travel. They tend to leak so I don't fill them all the way, but they are super easy to clean and produce flavor where the other options produce little (regular cartos) or none (atomizers).

Good luck with your unit! Hopefully you will continue to "volt up" instead of "light up"!

Well if anyone has a problem with a sticking button. I just dropped the whole button assembly into a cup with a little 190 proof grain alcohol. The button seems to work like new. I never thought I got much juice on it, but I guess over time some may have worked it's way into the switch. Works great now. So I guess I'll have to edit my original post.

The screwdriver has been out for a long time. It was one of the first bigger battery devices. It and the ego were the first. The screwdriver and e-power both use removable batteries and both run at 3.7v. The screwdriver uses a 900mah 14500 battery and the e-power uses a 14650 1300mah. There are other e-powers that use 14500 batteries at 900mah. The e-power is regulated to 3.7v and the screwdriver is not regulated. The e-power has 510 threading and the screwdriver has 901 threading (same as 808). Hope that helps
