Hi all, as usual, thanks for any help you can offer.

I started with the cigalikes that I got from the local convenience store then quickly switched to the ego style, then to the MVP2 with several different tanks and have landed on the decision that I still like the cigalike, just not the quality.

I've pulled the cap off a disposable carto from a long while ago, refilled it and have been using that for the last two days with a couple additional refills. I have surprised myself how much I enjoy it.

Anyone have an e-roll?

How long does an atomizer head last? (They're like what, $5/pc?)

Does it leak?

How long does one cartridge last? Is the .4ml too small for some people? I feel like I'd be filling probably 5 times a day. Maybe more. Do the cartridges have a lifespan, or are they basically just the "tank?"

Are the cartridges easy to fill?

And last but not least, can I put any 510 carto on it?

I always feel guilty posting such newbie questions, but I swear I tried finding all this information myself?

Does anyone know of anyplace better to buy it than:

Joyetech eRoll Starter Kit Joyetech eRoll Starter Kit [Joye-eRoll-Starter-kit] - $52.00 : ECIGSPLUS.com, Discount Supplier for Electronic Cigarettes, E-Liquids, Supplies and More

Even Fasttech has it listed at $71. I can't tell the difference between them and this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've only been using the eRoll for less than a month, but so far I love it.

Before the eRoll, I used a coupple of the tank and atomizer systems out there. I enjoyed them, but like you I moved on to bigger batteries. I've also been looking for a great cig-alike, and the eRoll hits that spot for me.

The eRoll uses a proprietary connection to hold the atomizer in place. But it uses the eGo-C atomizers, so you can use the same heads with a number of different systems if you want to. The atomizers last forever. I've gone months dripping on one eGo-C atomizer. The wicking spike is the part that gets gunked up and causes poor performance, but it can easily be removed and cleaned. The type of liquid you use will play a bigpart in this as well.

The tanks are easy to fill, provided you have a needle tip bottle or a syringe. If you use the eRoll as your primary device, you will probably go through a 5 pack of the tanks every couple of weeks.

I go through probably 6 or so tanks in an average day. Most people with an eRoll carry extras with them, usually in something like an Altoids tin. There is one company in France who makes cases to carry the tanks, but they aren't cheap. They're called Tankpack, and a case to hold 6 tanks will cost $35.00. I found the investment to be worth it.

There is also a case to hold the PCC and provide storage for an extra assembled unit. I've only seen them at LiteCig and CigNot, and they go for about $23.00. Again, I found the investment to be worth it because I always have one unit to use while the other charges.

I got my kit from Rocky Mountain Vapor for $60.00. Some places offer it cheaper, but RMV offers free shipping on any order over $14.00. Also, their kit comes with an additional atomizer cone and a 15 ml bottle with a needle tip for filling the tanks. Well worth it.

If you want something similar to the eRoll but able to take a 510 connection, you may wish to look at the eCab. It is manual only, and you have to buy a 510 adapter for it, but I've been told it's like the eRoll only larger.

And there is an eRoll sub-forum further down. Poke around there and see what people are saying.

Good luck.

I have had mine for a day and like it. It vapes nice and does feel like a real analog which is what I was looking for :) I would say so far the only negative is the tiny tank and the fact that it is really hard to see how much juice is in it  The juice has run out pretty quickly. I however have not depleted the battery. You most definitely need a needle head to put in the liquid but ordered some when I bought it so it has not been a problem. I paid $49.60 out the door for the Eroll and 2 bottles. Got them from rockymountainvapors.com with their discount code of 20rocky. I would if you order get some additional tanks. They sell 5 for $4.00. Wish I had done that when I ordered. Good luck and Happy Vaping :vapor:

Ordered more tanks? My only question I had from the initial reply was why get more tanks after a month.

Do they break/degrade?

Get more tanks so that you're filling more of them all at once, rather than refilling the same one over and over and then just swapping a full one for an empty?

Is the only part that needs to be replaced, the atomizer head? (Don't have the ability nor wherewithal to rebuild)

I was attracted to the pro tanks because I could easily just swap out the coil.

Now attracted to the e-roll because it seems like hypothetically my perfect vape method.

I know many of you prefer more power, variable this n that, but I just want ease of use where I get to pick my own juice that has a decent/best vape in this manner I can find.

Order more tanks so you don't have to refill the 3 you have quite so often. Also, the caps on the tanks will wear away with use causing them to leak. You can buy replacement caps or new tanks. I just find it easier to buy new tanks every so often.

And everything will need to be replaced eventually. Batteries die, things get bent and broken, ect. The attractive part about the eRoll is that replacement parts are incredibly cheap. The most expensive thing to replace is the PCC.

But with proper care and maintenance, the most common replacement pieces for the eRoll will be new tanks and atomizers.

Yep...more tanks to keep full so I don't have to fill all the time and swap out is what I meant. My setup is only a day old so so have no idea how long these little tanks or the atomizer heads will last. The kit comes with battery, atomizer/coil and tank for 2 full cigs. I only have one set up at the moment. I guess it is kinda like rebuilding but not like some of the other setups. It only takes a minute to put it together. It is not hard at all and all pieces can be bought separately and replaced easily as needed. I have a Kanger Evod with a Genuine Joyetech battery setup too. It is variable voltage but I don't need it or use it. I got the Eroll with the hope that it would be more like a real analog and it is :)

Been using mine for about a week now, and havent had real issues, got it brand new on ebay for 50 bucks even with free shipping. I was a pack-a-day smoker, and I go through 3 or 4 tanks a day, the battery seems to last for a couple tanks worth. The PCC takes a while to charge (few hours), but it lasts me a couple days.

The atomizers seem to be holding up still, I disassembled them last night and found the coils a little charred, so I gave them a quick dry burn and they cleaned up nicely and it hits a bit better now. The tanks do leak a tiny bit, but its so little I rarely even notice.

I have a Clean Cig (generic 15 dollar cigalike from the gas station), so I dont have much to compare it to, but the Clean Cig is much heavier and uses a cartomizer system instead of an atomizer, and I prefer the eRoll much more. Better hit, easier to maintain, and much more of an analogue feel. Good money spent.

All these people have a great input on the eroll. I started with one in August, and absolutely love it. I use it for a discreet vape, and also when I'm out and don't want to carry my Pro vari. I have the same thanks that came with my kit, have not had a problem with my PCCbattery dying, and generally get 2 to 3 weeks out of an atomizer. That said, it is not my go to device but I use it daily. I prefer a larger juice capacity and not swapping out batteries.i also agree with the needle tip for your bottles. Much easier than trying to pry the cap off the tiny tanks. It serves it's purpose well, but I do not believe it would be my primary device. I would suggest using a higher nicotine juice. I usually use 12, but in this I use 18.

You might also consider the Kanger e-Smart system. Very easy to fill/use, relatively cheap disposable clearos that seem to last well, and you can get it in 808 or 510 connection types, so you could potentially also use the clearos on other, readily available batteries in the future - say, get the 510 version and still use the clearos on eGos/Spinners...even full-size mods! :p I do it. :D Love those tiny "tanks". My clearos are 808s (bought a huge brick of them "wholesale" from Kanger's site), so I use them on 808 e-Smart batteries and 808 Mig Cigs batteries and on my eGos, Spinners, and Vamo with a 510-808 adapter.
