i thought about posting a thread on this. i dont beleive its the cold at all. after reading things about pg pulling moisture out of the air, and people claiming to be dried out from using them tipped me off to this, after noticing 2 things. first, i was sitting with a hot cup of coffee, and as i blew a thin stream, when it hit above the cup, a bunch of vapor appeared. next, i took a shower(hot with the door closed), got right out and hit my cig..plumes. so, i think it may be humidity levels and not temp. it seems to need moisture in the air to make vapor. i was wondering why some days i get great vapor, and others low vapor. if anyone has ideas to test this theory better....

I had probs w/my Pilot and my 901 outside. Just got a penstyle for my household so I will try it outside when it gets cold enough. Stupid as it sounds... I found that storing the e-cig between my boobs lets it activate more quickly when I puff in cold weather and although the taste is still a little sparse I get some kind of vapor that way. I think that glove finger thing someone posted is a great alternative for the boobless gender. I bet with the penstyle I could vape WHILE it was still between them and keep it warm the whole time.. that would be easier...

lol, you crack me up spikey:rolleyes:....wish i could try the boob thing. actually, since i keep mine in my shirt pocket, its against my body and stays pretty warm, but im not sure that makes any difference since a puff brings it right up to operating temp. i still say it has more to do with the air..... i thought maybe something was wrong with my pilot, but found it odd that both atomizers performed poorly. a warm front came in yesterday(should have hit you by now 2 states up:D), and im getting about twice the vapor i was 2 days ago.

I think this the main issue although the others are valid. I had a glass water bowl that has an atomizer in it to prduce vapor with just water. I lived in a basement and yoused it as a cool humidifier of sorts. I always noticed diffrent types of vapor depending on the humidity. It had a ultrasonic atomizer though. Hmm could we use something like this?

It was something like this:
Blue Misting Fountain - FAERIE FANTASY

This thing pored mist. The only thing is the atomizer had to stay submerged. This could be a benifit. You see where I am going with this.:sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::rolleyes:

Danger! Danger!
Bad thing is there is a glass dome that looks like decoration. It serves a purpous, Suposedly if you leave your hand over the atomizer it will burn you with the soundwaves. Haven't tried this and will take there word for it:D But mabey just mabey we could utize this tecnology

I think I agree with the temp of the air and the general humidity in the air being factors. Even on different weather type days I notice a difference. I think exhaling into the coat seems to keep some of the flavor because the temp is increased inside the coat. Who knows.. we will learn in time. I wish some of the Chinese people who have been using thse things longer than us would come join the board and save us time by telling us what they already know!

It sounds like Spikey already has a warm front ;)

Kate.. you are so funny :) This is why I think I like you so much! (and you are very smart and kind and well spoken.. oh wait.. am I kissing ...? I better stop there!)

Damn near hopeless in minnesota, decided to try it outside, knew it was gonna happen

Try -25 to -35 degree weather, I do agree with the up the sleeve technique but it's ****ed because once it hits that weather it'll go back up the sleeve, I can't do a voltage mod unfortunetly since I'm not a hardware modder, I'm a software modder

Main point is your screwed when it comes to living in minne(snow)ta
Good day outside today though, 5 degrees, suppose to get to upper 20's this week

Damn! That means the cold is coming my way - What you guys in Minne(Snow)ta have for weather we get in Wis(cold)sin a day or 2 later!

I thought it was just me - not filling up the carts enough or something - I've noticed the same thing on cold days - it'll work for a while, then I have to start doing lots of primer puffs to get vapor...

I'll have to try keeping the device warmer...
