Easiest way to get adhesive off of a carto???

Hey everyone!

I am wanting to take the colored adhesive wrapping off my cartos. I have done it to two of them, but it is seriously tedious work to get the adhesive off the metal carto!!

Anyone have a super trick or tip they wanna share about how to easily get the residual adhesive off the carto??

Polish remover works well, also liquid goo gone. I've also learned that if the sticker/tape comes off and is leaving only the residue to use the removed sticker and use it to pat the item with, sticky to sticky, removing the adhesive as you go. I have had some however that refuse to budge, I use a small amount of the polish remover on a paper towel and keep moving to a clean spot on the towel, otherwise you'll be re-depositing the adhesive on the carto. Make sure to wipe down with alchohol when you're done. HTH

Not sure what type of adhesive you are talking about because I haven't had cartos with anything but the plastic cover; but if you're talking about a sticker, I had ordered some adhesive tape remover wipes for a premium price. MSDS and ingredients in them are very simply mineral oil. I could have picked up a couple bottles of mineral oil for less than the cost of the wipes! Very safe for human contact and consumption, and works very well too!

Thanks for the mineral oil tip! Have any of you noticed that the carto seems to get a lot warmer when vaping once the sticker is removed? I didn't know if it was just me or if others noticed it too. I have "unwrapped" 3 cartos using each of your suggestions and they all work really great!!

I don't think the carto is actually getting warmer, it's that the sticker was acting like an insulator, sort of like a hot pot holder.
Without the sticker the heat will be able to dissipate from the bare metal faster and should cool the carto down faster.

The 808 cartomizers we have, the labels just peel off without tearing and don't leave a big mess behind.

A suggestion to other cartomizers, is to put them in the fridge for 10 minutes before trying to peel the stickers off, it does help a bit.

I find just using some juice on them seems to get the sticky off after the label has been pilled off.

lighter fluid works well for any type of sticker residue
