East mall HV atomizers dying left and right

so i ordered a bunch of HV 510 atomizers from east mall, and the are lasting about half a day then they die. when they die if i dont unscrew them from my pv quickly they will cause my batterys to heat to dangerous levels, with out activating the batterys via the push button. whats wrong?? im using a pridigy v2, my non hv atomizers work just fine

The Prodigy is a 5V device. HV attomizers are intended for 6V+ devices. I'm not saying that is causing the problem, but you should stop using those attys on the Prodigy – both because what you've been doing is not recommended and, more persuasively, because of the symptoms you've reported.

If you have any good ones left, use them on a higher voltage PV if you ever get one or sell them to someone who does have a 6V mod. You could try asking for a refund or regular atty replacements from EastMall, but don't be surprised if they quote what they say on their webpage: "The East Mall EM5-HV (510) is specifically designed to be used at 6 volts."
