I have a small unopened bottle (plastic) of PG and another of VG. What is the best way to store them long term?

I already have nic stored in dark glass, light blocked out and frozen but PG and VG are different animals.

Really no need to store those long term as they should be readily available for quite some time. If you feel you must squirrel them away, the original packaging should be fine. You could transfer them to glass bottles if you feel leaching from the plastic may occur.

I read that PV/G has a shelf life of about a year. Not sure if the information is correct or not. Freezing was not on option.
I guessing that keeping the two in a stable 40 - 60 deg F. dark unopened condition should be the ideal long term stable environment.

Keep in cool dark place. Just put it in a light tight box and place it in the coolest part of the house. I keep mine in a Tupperware tub in the basement. VG and PG can last several years but as stated above, no need to stock pile as it should be available post deemings via other markets.

Essentials depot will be selling PG and VG to the soap and fragrance DIY crew forever...

Don't worry about the base supplies, it's the nic and products marketed as vape specific that will dry up and need to be stocked up on.

100mg or any other nic base has a significant PG/VG content. Do PG and VG not need freezing or is there a down side to freezing it?

I store my extra PG and VG in canning jars in the fridge - so far no issues. I would put them in the freezer but do not have enough room. I see not problem with freezing them if a person puts them into glass. YMMV

Freezing nic is done to slow the oxidation of the nic. Because the PG and VG obviously have no nic there is little/no benefit to freezing.
If you have gobs of freezer space available you could put your PG and/or VG in without risk but I doubt you have much to gain by doing so. I would also recommend being sure to bring it completely back to room temperature before opening as they are prone to water absorption from the surrounding environment.

Pg and VG are sold on a counter at room temp, so it makes sense that they are stable at those temps. I'm told that nic gets peppery stored at room temp. So, that makes sense.

Then, there are long time DIYers who say they store their nic in a dark closet fpr years with no ill effects. I plan to freeze one of my liters of nic and break down the other liter into 250ml bottles at full strength and freeze all but the one I'm working from.

I'm going to have to preserve my two liters of 100mg nic base somehow. At 3mg and 10ml to 15ml a day vaping I have enough nic base for something like 18 years of DIY!
