by rubbing alcohol you mean Vodka?

I've never used vodka for cleaning, but yeah, whatever floats your boat. They both should work. I actually meant isopropyl alcohol. Give it a good scrub and rinse. Boiling is mostly for sterilization and cleaning out old juice.

And make sure you aren't burning juice. I can help you out with that if you post your coil resistance, wire gauge, and voltage.

Yahoo, it worked! :)

I think it was the pre-installed coil though - I changed it and all good now!

But I also cleaned the whole unit with vodka. So maybe it was that.

Anyone could advice how high in volts I can go with such 1.8 coil in eBaron?

Good to hear you got it sorted out.

Not knowing the wire gauge that is in it, I can take a stab at some potential max voltages, assuming you have good airflow and wicking. 32 gauge, 4.4 volts. 30 gauge, 5.2 volts. 28 gauge, 6 volts. These are roughly 10, 15, and 20 watts, respectively. Realistically you should just turn up the voltage until you start getting bad flavor, then back it off a little until flavor improves. That is, assuming you want as intense of a vape as possible.
