I am vaping 7 leaf Hopscotch now and maybe there is a slight floral flavor, but I guess I like it because it helps complete the flavor profile. I think this is one of the more interesting juices I've tried at ECBlend, or really ever. It's very mello and nice, good evening vape.

I order all ECblend juices with extra flavor, but never double any of the individual flavors in a complex juice. I don't think they do this very well and the people who try this often are disappointed in what they get. The RY4 on it's own with no extra flavor, is very, very good and I'm really an RY4 head. I definitely get no floral flavor in this custom juice, caramel should be the star with the blend.

I absolutely agree Lombaowski. When I first got my ECB RY4 it was caramel heaven. I'm a caramel fiend btw.

I would actually argue (as a personal preference) that I prefer 7 Leaf Hopscotch as a morning vape since it is so very smooth. I need a smooth non-harsh vape earlier in the day to kind of prime myself for the stronger vapes later in the day.

Anyway... One of the orders I had placed in the past few months was RY4 with Extra caramel, no extra flavor. It started off great, and has mostly only gotten better. After my initial 10ml bottle it became my ADV, and I ordered a 125ml bottle. I think I've probably got around 20 - 30ml left (I vape lots of different juices during the course of 24 hours). Over the past month the flavor has changed though.

At first it was heavy caramel, which I really enjoyed and I could vape it right out of the box. But as time went on it got even more caramel flavored, which I thought was odd, though not unpleasant. So I placed an order for their RY4 with extra flavor and extra tobacco, thinking I might mix the 30ml bottle of XFx2 I got with what was left of the 125ml bottle I still had.

Now I'm not quite so stupid as to mix the two without a test. So I put around 5ml of my extra caramel bottle into an Innokin iCan with about 1ml of the extra flavor extra tobacco to see how they would mix and left it to sit for a couple weeks. I've got enough different juices, and a huge bottle of RY4, to hold me over. Some of those other juices though have been fighting the RY4 w/ extra caramel for my ADV (damn you Niquid Soho). Considering how much juice I've got, I didn't have to worry about the steep time.

Even mixing pre-steeped juices you still need to give it time to mix.

Anyway...

I had the RY4 extra caramel that I have come to love, with the extra tobacco that I just wasn't sure about...

I basically wasted the RY4 extra caramel.

When I loaded a clearo with the RY4 mix I also loaded up another (both iClear 16s) with the extra flavor extra tobacco juice so I could get a clean taste of the juice I wanted to mix with the one I already loved.

Even after letting both sit for a over a month, the floral notes were still HUGE, even more so in the XFx2 obviously. I have to say I've noticed this with a lot of ECBs tobacco blends. 7 Leaf Hopscotch I can still taste it in to a degree, but again, it's not so much the floral flavor that comes through but a uh... powdery... consistency... Man I really wish there was a better way to convey that in a vape.

And please, don't get me wrong. I LOVE 7 Leaf Hopscotch. I've got it sitting in 3 different tanks right now, and my bottle is getting low. Next time I place an order, I'm getting a 125ml bottle of it. I can't see my vaping arsenal lacking the 7 Leaf Hopscotch. It's just too damn tasty. Though tasty as it is, it has some issues, for me at least.

I will also still order ECBs RY4. It's part of the Triumvirate of ECB juices I will never be without. For me it's 7 Leaf Hopscotch, RY4, and Caramel Machiato (just avoid adding the sweet cream, makes it taste like a good coffee with spoiled milk to me).

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...

The intense floral flavor doesn't excuse ECBs tobacco juices.

I've let 2 other tobacco juices from ECB sit for well over a month, and both are so incredibly floral it tastes like I'm eating flowers.

One is Cuban Gold. This is a flavor that I had previously mixed with berry flavors to try and recreate a berry cigar when I was still using analogs. And when I made that custom flavor, it was great. But as my taste buds healed, it got worse and worse. So I ordered a 15ml bottle of Cuban Gold thinking that either I was going to love it, or hate it.

Guess what. I hated it. Again, that floral taste in a straight tobacco flavor was, and still is even after almost 2 months of steeping, so overwhelming it's hard to ignore.

I also ordered a 5ml bottle of Cuban Sunset. This, I think, was a blend of strawberry (could be wrong) with cuban gold.

Again, incredibly floral even after a month of steeping, but not nearly as bad as the Cuban Gold.

Thus finally brings me to the point I originally tried to make.

ECBlends has some incredibly awesome juices. I haven't found a vendor that quite matches what they can produce, so long as it isn't a tobacco flavor.

Thus they aren't perfect. Their tobacco flavors seem to use flower extracts to try and replicate a tobacco flavor.

Other vendors have come closer to a tobacco flavor without resorting to using floral extracts. This is where it hurts ECB.

And again, don't get me wrong, ECB has some amazing juice, even in the tobacco line like the 7 Leaf Hopscotch. It would just be nice if they were to... sad to say... grow a pair and produce their own tobacco line, ditching the whole perfume floral idea in the process. I'm sure it would be great with the other flavorings they have available.

I could be way outta line for asking this question but please bear with me. First let me explain a little. Ive ordered over 15 flavors from mtbakervapor and sadly most do not taste like they smell to me. My hubby doesn't seem as pucky as me but he only liked a few as well. Sooooo, im wondering-do you ecblend fans order from mbv ever and how do you compare the two when it comes to simpler flavors? My example would be watermelon-I got a big bottle from mvb cuz I love watermelon just not mbv's watermelon. It is bitter to me. It has steeped for 2 months now and still it just isn't good. :( im hoping for some insight. Appreciate any help. :)

I have tried em and it is super hit-n-miss for me. Ugh...
Not sure if this best place to ask, but will try it anyway. Has anyone that has tried ECB have an opinion on how it compares to MBV? I've not tried the Mt. Baker Vapor, but seems to be one of the most popular vapes around and just curious how they match up. Hoping to get not too overly biased opinions, but realize people will always praise the brand they like the most while possibly downplaying the rest.

Wish I had seen this prior to my post askung about mbv. Seems you tried fruity from there and like me found fruity ones to be just not great. The watermelon is unvapeable for me. :( hoping to get verified so I can use classifieds and or trade with people rather than spend more on trying more, know what I mean? Ugh, but like you said-mbv has outstanding customer service/shipping
QUOTE=LisaR;11734430]I'll try to be fair and balanced on this... I've ordered from both several times, and (to my taste) I've gotten some winners and losers from both.

From MBV, I mostly only like the Butterscotch, out of all the stuff I've ordered. There is something about their fruit flavors that I just don't care for, but I have given my un-loved bottles to vaping friends and family and they mostly like them just fine. People have very divided opinions on MBV, but what pretty much everyone can agree on is that their prices, shipping, and customer service are outstanding.

I've liked a much higher percentage of the juices I've gotten from ECB than MBV but they definitely have some very devout fans. Honestly, I think you will have to try to see what you think.[/QUOTE]

Sadly no, I have never ordered from MBV. I plan to rectify that at some point in time, but lately I've been ordering from vendors I know, and buying brands I like (Nicquid, Jameson's Irish, Blueprint, among others).

I hold high hopes for MBV considering the following they've got though, but I have honestly never tried their juices.

I've started to work my way thru my 14 flavor sampler platter I ordered from ECB. I'm not too far in as I've been trying to finish the junk juice from TW, who I will never reorder from, but it gave them all at least 2 weeks steeping. I went 70pg/30vg 12mg on everything.

Mixed Berries - Solid basic staple that I find most vendors can't screw up, this one's good.

Kettle Corn - Home run on this one for me, I blew thru the first tank like a bag of the real stuff bought at a beer festival.

Roast Beef - Did I mention I was up really late and sleep deprived when I placed my order? Curiosity got me on this one. The aroma is pungent, stings the nostrils. I can't decide if it's repulsive or if I like it. Vapeable in small doses.

Steven's Surprise - I may get flamed on this one, but what's the surprise? It's pretty much like strawberry mixed with blablabla you get anywhere. I'm not saying it's not good, it is, but I don't get the hype. Maybe Steven was out sick that day and Carl made this batch.

Pete's PB&J - A create my own 45% peanut butter 40% plum 10% bread crust 5% butter. This was meant as an homage to my dad's pbjs as he'd butter the other slice of bread. Not what I hoped for, the flavor was too weak. I think extra flavor or possibly double? It still tastes good, very vapeable, just weak.

I've sampled a few others but want to do due diligence on steeping and retry before tossing my two pennies. Any tips/thoughts on my PBJ dilemma are welcomed and appreciated. Vape on!

I'm curious how you ordered it, as in did you add anything to the flavor when you placed it?

I ask cause I have sample bottle of it and had it steep for a good 2 weeks. It smelled awesome, and kinda strong. So each day I kept anticipating it more and more. Then 2 nights ago, I took my first few puffs of it, and was under impressed. Now, I'm the type of guy that'll pretty much vape anything, so wasn't disgusted by it, but was let down. In last few hours, it is starting to grow on me, but still not yet at point where I love it.

I didn't add anything to the flavor and got it at 50/50 mix, 18 mg. To me it has that tinge of caramel that I was hoping for, but has a burnt popcorn taste to it. I was hoping for more sweet taste and more buttery taste. If you are getting those sort of flavors in your use of ECB kettle corn, then I'm curious what you did when ordering it.

Yeah, you got some guts to get that flavor. I thought about it more than once, but have yet to go for it.

Thanks for yours and everyone else's comments on flavors. ECB just has too many flavors, that if I don't hear reviews, I'm reluctant to try certain things.

With that said, I would continue to recommend the cucumber flavor from ECB. It isn't an all day vape, but one I find most refreshing and tastes exactly like you would hope. Oh, and I'm I've ordered cucumber straight up and with shot of honeydew melon. Both are good IMO.

Wow. I read through this entire thread just now.

I put in a order for 3 custom 30ml bottles yesterday, without having tried samples first. So wish me luck. xD Happy to see that cucumber is being given a greenlight here. I used it in one of the concoctions.

Fire & Ice blend made without menthol
70% peppermint
30% cinnamon red hots
XF
+ cool hit

Popcorn Jellybean
70% popcorn
30% butter
XF
+Sweetener

AND FINALLY, the wackiest creation, in an attempt to recreate a
Japanese hard candy with a twist
60% green tea
20% cucumber
20% sweet cream
+ sour
+ cool hit
+ sweetener

Stumbled upon this thread a few days ago right before placing another ECBlend order. Lots of great recommendations throughout the entire thread that definitely helped gear me towards trying a few new flavors. Here's a few of my thoughts on what I've liked/don't like from ECBlend...

My first order I grabbed an assortment of 5ml bottles of Dragon's Blood, The Yummy, 555, Guava, and White Peach ala Zoe (all a 50/50 mix with extra flavor) with a free sample of Dragon's Apple (50/50, 0mg). Straight out of the box, I did not like the Guava, the 555 was alright though not up my alley, and I knew the Dragon's Blood needed to steep for a few weeks. The Yummy was tasty right off the bat and ended up becoming the first flavor I ever vaped a whole tank of. A nice flavor with hints of cherry and vanilla, although the overall flavor could be a tad stronger. I've read that the White Peach a la Zoe could use 1-2 weeks of steeping, but mine tasted like a nice mix of candy peach/fruit peach with a slight hint of....something else. After about 2 weeks that something else turned into a pop of vanilla and created a great juice! Ended up going back and ordering a larger bottle so I'll always have some on hand. Dragon's Apple is something I bust out for the non-nictoine friends that I have, and while they enjoy it I'm just not thrilled with the apple flavor, but how can you turn down a free sample?

After about a week of sampling the Dragon's Blood and finding it to be muted in flavor or just odd, I let it sit for an additional 2 weeks and now I can't put it down. It's extremely creamy with a nice fresh dragonfruit flavor that really is just right. I've gone back and ordered several large bottles of it and it's become one of my all day vapes. Really can't recommend this flavor enough as long as you have the patience to steep!

I'm waiting on an order now with small bottles of RY4, FoxNutMocha, Vanilla Malt, and Dragon's Tear - all of which I picked up from this thread and am extremely excited to try.

To Jman8 regarding the Kettle Corn, it was 70pg/30vg 12mg as is. I know playing around with mixes sure can net different results. Thanks for the rec on cuke w/honeydew, it's on my list to try.

A few more flavors have been vetted, all 70pg/30vg 12mg, and steeped at least two weeks. I find steeping hard to do, it's like handing a kid a kitkat and telling him to wait to eat it next month, but steeping is worth the wait.

Peach - One of the first I ever vaped from a diff vendor, ECB got it right. I always keep peach in my stable.

Pizza Ria - Another result of placing an order at 2 in the morning. Overpowering aroma that could repel a charging rhino. Here's the funny part, I mixed it with the Roast Beef I bought, and slap me and call me Susie if it doesn't taste amazing. Two juices that may have been headed for the bin united to form a great new vape that works with beer. A side plus of this combo are the ridiculous plumes of vapor it makes, albeit a little "fragrant".

Dragon's Blood - This one lives up to the hype. Unique fruit taste and a hint of floral notes. Probly could use extra flavor on this one.

Wizard's Cave - Hands down one of the best I've had. This one alone will keep me trying ECB's offerings. I've not been one much for the sweets, but this one's altering my viewpoint.

I'm re-steeping a few other create your owns hoping they'll blend, they're all good, but I'm starting to think the create your owns would all benefit from extra flavor. Everyone keep posting those recommendations, so far I havn't found anyone better than ECB for quality and pricepoint. Vape on!

Oh man oh man...I thought I wouldn't like the subtle hit of coconut in Dragons Crown but WOW it actually is BETTER than Dragons Blood and Dragons Tear...I am kicking myself for not ordering more...I will be ordering me a 50ml bottle come payday...I would say it is easily my #2 flavor now...awesome flavor

Dragon's Crown is the nectar of the Gods. I like Dragon's Blood, Tear more...but Crown is the true jewel in the...what word am I looking for???

Hi guys I'm looking for a bit of advice from fellow ECB users before my next order. I used to go with 70pg/30vg 12mg but I'm going to try 50pg/50vg 6mg to try and cut back on the throat hit, which gives me an annoying cough at times (I do vape quite a lot). I've even thought of trying 100%vg because of this, but think that may be a bit too extreme. I know cutting down pg can reduce flavor, so if I do, do you guys recommend extra flavor, or perhaps double flavor if I dip to say a 20pg/80vg mix? Any opinions on what you guys have tried or what mix with what added flavor that you've had success with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so yeah, Kettle Corn has grown on me. I now like it, and will order more. I did just go with 50/50. Might try to monkey around with it and add something more to it on next order. I'll try and report here what that is like, but could be a good 2 months away or more.

Just double checked my last order (of 11 items) and 7 of them have XF, and one has DXF. And just realizing that Kettle Corn was one with XF, so whatever I said in post #319 isn't exactly accurate.

When I try something new at ECB (like entirely new flavor), I will usually go with nothing extra. Exception here would be if I read reviews on the site and lots of people are saying the flavor is best done in some fashion that all other reviewers agree on.

I'll also stick to 50/50, but mainly cause the few times I've gone away from that, it's messed up my experience enough that I'd rather not keep searching for the right balance here when 50/50 seems like right balance and I'm still in mode of searching / trying out umpteen million flavors that both ECB and eCig world offers.

But with ECB, I do know if I find a flavor, I'll then experiment with XF or DXF, and occasionally with flavor shots. Sometimes DXF is too much and sometimes it is underwhelming. Wish I had better answer than that, but it seems like this stuff changes over time both with vendor and with my own subjective tastes.
