ECBlends Burning

I love the ECBlend flavors. I started sampling them a few weeks ago and learned very quickly that they need to steep a good week. I had a few samples I hadn't tried yet that had been sitting for a good month. I had four new 2.4Ohm clearomizers to try them with. I primed them like you're supposed to and followed every proper step. What I am finding is that by the 3rd toot, almost every flavor I've tried tastes burnt. Does anyone know why this happens? A few friends have had the same experience. I am using a 650 Q and an 1100 VV at 3.5 to 3.8. If I don't chain toot they seem to be fine but I love the Dragons Leaf so much that I can't stop myself!

What PG/VG base are you using? I love EC Blends as well and I get mine in a 50/50 base but it doesn't work well in clearo's since it's too thick to wick well for chain vaping and will get the burnt taste. I even get the burnt taste in thinner mixes if I don't rotate the clearo to keep the upper part of the wick wet.

I do use EC in my rebuildable tanks, dripping and even carto's without any burning taste at all though.

I've got a variety of mixes from 50/50 to 80/20. They all seem to react the same way. I'll have to try some in a rebuild-able or in my eCab to see if that makes a differences. I just ordered 15ml of Dragon's Leaf in 6mg. I could chain vape the flavor all day - and have - ever since I got my sample. It tastes like blueberry pie.

I find that all the clearomizers I have tried have this problem. No matter what juice I use. My wife takes much smaller and less frequent puffs, and they work great for her. I guess I just take to large of a puff. I love ecblend, and I only use dual coil cartos now. Havent ever had a problem with their juices in a carto.

What PG/VG mix do you use in your dual cartos? And which brand are you using? I was looking at my samples and I'm wrong. I never tried the 80/20. I'm wondering how that will do. Like you, I take heavy draws and having my favorite flavors burn is annoying. In regard to the clearos and liquids, this is actually the first time I've had this issue. I've sampled a gazillion brands too.

I got a 30ml Dragon's Leaf about 10 days ago. I've been vaping with a Kanger T3 without a problem. Try as I might I can't even come close when mixing DIY. There's something in all of the Dragon's Line that I've tried ( 6 of them ) that has a tang that I can't duplicate. I do 12mg 60PG/40VG.

Probably it. Doesn't wick quickly enough.

Yep, I think it's a wicking problem. I use anywhere between 50/50 and 80/20. I havent used a wick based tank that doesnt give me a burned flavor yet. I have tried a few clearomizers, vivi nova 2.5, and screw tanks.
I like the smok dual coil cartos. They are actually on sale right now at electronicstix.com for 75 cents. They are usually around 2bucks. I have, for the time being given up on wicked devices. I know alot of people love them, and that is great, but they just arent for me.

Hope you get it sorted. I love ecblend.

That's because we vape like this

I've never had luck with tanks, clearos, etc for that reason. I stick to cartos/tanks.

I've had the burning problem with ECBlends, too, but only with a few flavors. I think Butter Rum and Nectarine in a 50/50 blend were the worst, although the non-burnt hits were great! As boomerdude said, though, the Kanger T3s mostly fix the wicking issues with clearos. I think next time I order from ECB, I'll get a higher pg ratio. Hopefully, that will fix it. Their price and quality is too good to give up on!

I don't use clearomizers, but could it be because you keep farting on them?

I've tried a handful of clearos.. except the kanger t3 which is suppose to be the best one for wicking and vertical vaping (I think it's a bottom feeder). Case and point Clearos really suck once the liquid gets down past where the wicks go to the coils if you're a chain vaper. The best thing you can do is keep your liquid with you and keep topping it off. The only clearo i have right now is the iclear dual coil clearo which is pretty good since it has 4 wicks (2 to each coil) and the draw on it allows you to get a pretty stout hit. I don't really like to vape it on high wattage because the throat hit is too much for me.

I don't think it's the eclblend thats doin it. I used to pretty much only buy ecblends since my local store carries it. Their mix (at the store) is 70/30 pg:vg so that should be wicking pretty well, but if your chain vaping most clearos you'll get the burnt hits.
