ECF and IRC?

I tried to find the ECF specific thread but general chat would gather more interest.

Do we have an IRC channel? If we don't somone can simply join a channel on freenode for now. I am always wanting to chat with people instantly vs. posting threads. Especially in times that I need help with mixing and such

Nothing less huh? My indie game community uses flash-based chat and expected ECF to have it too. But its not like this IRC channel is any good anyways. Have you been in there? Nothing but people playing with the bot. No one actually talking or wanting to talk of PVs

Oh also were yo makin fun of me, ubuntu, or linux? I bet my machine can outperform your in Pi calculations

Nope, not making fun of you. I would just expect someone "into" Linux to prefer the power/customizability of a stand alone IRC client like .....x or something like that over flash-based chat.

I cut my IRC teeth with ircii from a Solaris command line in 1993, back when Undernet might have 100 people on it during peak hours.

woah woah wait what?! If I WAS using the web based IRC I wouldnt need the server or channel would I? All I would have to do is click the link. I use x-chat, I just cant stand web based chats. Thats what my rant about the flash-based chat was about!
