ECF loading really slow

Is anyone else having issues with ECF loading really slow? Ever since the upgrade/downgrade it has been taking 7 to 10 seconds for pages to load?

Yeah, it slowed down for me too but not that much. They're still working on it so hopefully it'll speed up shortly.

It's loading pages slower for me since the changeover. I'm fairly sure they're probably tweaking a lot of stuff right now and we'll see an improvement soon.

Allot of the forums I go on that have upgraded to the 4.. version are running slower. It's not just here. Also tried them out on firefox(I use IE8 by default) and it's the same way, sometimes even slower.

Same for me as well, also, does the yellow information box at the top of the page need to be on almost every page? I know they are important links but maybe just have them on the main forum page.

Loads pretty quick here 2 to 3 seconds for a page. I cleared my cookies and history after the upgrade not sure if that's why mines loading quicker or not.

It loads fast sometimes and really slow allot of the other times. I use IE8 at home and IE7 at work and it is the same at home as it at work, maybe its still the overhaul they are doing.

My problem is the text entry when posting. For some reason, ON THIS POST ONLY the text is operating fine but on EVERY OTHER POST it stalls and moves slow like molasses... :?

There is bound to be ongoing issues following the upgrade. The Admins are constantly making changes to utilize features that members are asking for, so while making those changes "without taking down the forum" you will often find stalling & possibly freezes as the system starves for resources during a modification.

I'm sure when everything major needing to be done is complete that the Admins will definitely be making an announcement to the members (they like to brag).

It's the price we have to pay instead of suffering withdrawal by not being able to connect to the site at all.

That's because we are so completely awesome. See? More bragging!

I've actually noticed one issue that may be contributing to some pages loading slowly. I'll make Alex aware of it, and maybe it will help a bit.

Don't worry, folks. We won't stop until everything is somewhere in the neighborhood of perfection!

LOL. I think I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I (whew) realize its not compatibility with my comp but just ECF system resources! I really like that.

Yes, it's running much slower! Most likely a bigger more inefficient program.
In case it hasn't been mentioned, the thread pages are much wider than needed with a blank space to the right adding an unnecessary horizontal scroll bar.

The ECF site is faster now than it has ever been. It's one of the things I'm most pleased about with the recent upgrades. The site loads much faster now when going to it first - and pages load much faster.
