I've been wondering when or if any established vendors might begin to jump on the ecig bandwagon. Well, I received a catalog today from a very well known cigar company (est. 1915), and there, buried in the middle of their catalog, was a half page ad titled "Smoke ANYWHERE".

It's a single battery, single atomizer kit, with 16 cartridges and a battery charger @34.95. It has a choice of 4 strengths of nic from 0 to 18mg, plus menthol (at 11mg). No details were given about battery, but its an analog look-alike, branded as Fifty-One™. They also, along side, have a regular or menthol throwaway called Krave 500™ for 19.95.

I know some of the service stations and convenience stores have been carrying them, but this is a national company with a huge audience, that sells tobacco products!

Am I getting overly excited, or is this a big deal? Has anyone else seen them being sold by established, large scale non-ecig companies?

I have a smoke Anywhere kit I got a long long time ago, there not to good, it's a shame that the better vendors don't advertise more, even better I would like to see the ECF grow to a point where they could be out in the forefront as the biggest advertiser since there the biggest and best ecig website and not only advertise the website more but also all there vendors & members that support them. It would be pretty cool to see ECF commercials on TV & Radio I think.

The NJoy is pretty barbaric as well. It tasted like a cig thrown in a plastic fire. I am sure it did not melt, but either way. I could have licked an ashtray an had the same taste. **second time today I said "lick an ashtray" hmmmmm**

20 bucks you get a USB charger and a battery and 2 carto's @ 7-11.
Refills are 5 for 20$ as well.

You can help that reality come true buy supporting such companies as ECF, the CASAA, the ECA and well even something like writing to your state congressmen and senator. If you wrote to them, just tell them what e-cigs do and have done for you. If enough testimonials get in eventually the FDA will have a REAL tough time continuing to try and ban them.

When they become widely known and appreciated is when all of the premo quality products start hitting local stores. That's just my opinion but hey it couldn't hurt right?

Yeah I know what you mean A2V, I actually thought along those lines a while back when I first saw them at 7-11. I'm glad I came here and learned the truth because otherwise I would be hacking smoke instead of vaping delicious Boba's Bounty right now.

But I agree with Jonny as well. Word of mouth is what will really get the truth out. I got my mother and my aunt to order a couple of kits and soon I hope they'll feel the same way that we all do.

Yeah the brands going "mainstream" are unfortunately the crap brands. I guess at their prices they can afford to advertise. The good thing is that many people, myself included, at least get that curiosity even after dismal failure with these ecigs and eventually go online and end up here or at least keep exploring. I guess even the worst one can give you the hope that with the right one it could work. But I know most probably just throw it away and wonder why they ever thought it could work.

Of course I've gone the 7-11 route when in a bind but I knew what I was getting and that it was temporary. This site should be required reading before purchasing any ecig IMHO.

I got a couple people to vape at work and told them to come to me before they bought anything. Well they don't listen and ordered the crap brands and got ripped off. They don't seem to hate the cheap eciggs but they ask me all day to use my pv and i can see the jealousy.

it's okay, at least they aren't smoking analogs
