Yes, Agree.

I could test my theory by vaping into the 2nd pair for 10 mins after 3 weeks of using them, but I don't want to ruin a 2nd pair :p

It's not like this will stop me from vaping. This first week has been amazing, and I don't ever plan on smoking again. I just don't think I explained what happened well enough, also I'm not caring about the glasses... going to try and use the warrent. Mainly just asking about it from a technical stand point, and maybe let others know about it. It's not like this situation happens that often in every day life :p

lol your good man this whole entire point of this board is learning, hell if you didn't post here it could've been worse off like not vaping and watching 3d. Vaping is symbolic of breaking free you know doing whats better for you. but again i HIGHLY doubt its your e cig at least from a moisture point of view. i honest to god cant think of anything else but a defect that could be the cause. or youd see a ton of ...... off fogged up glasses with ppl behind them yelling lol

It's not the glasses part though, it's the... w/e is in 3D tv 3D glasses :p the tech part, not the glass/plastic. I'm not very tech savvy, sorry >.>

they are more than likely liquid crystal shutter 3d glasses, the liquid you saw more than likely came from the glasses when it cracked. could happen if you drop them or put pressure on them from say, laying down while waring them

oh and you should only clean those classes with a damp microfiber cloth, definitely no windex or glass cleaner

rapid temperature change or extreme temperature, could cause them to crack, but I am betting just manufacture defect. likely a hairline crack that was not visible, that eventually got worse as time went by.

the only way I can think that your vaping caused the problem is if some juice somehow splashed onto the lenses and then rolled down and seeped into lcd layer

If those glasses are Liquid Crystal Display, you definitely have damage there. I've seen similar "blotches" on laptop and monitor screens to guarantee that is what has happened.

It could have been a micro fissure that due to either heat or humidity has expanded. I would get them replaced under warranty, and hope that the vendor does not find some unexplained damage, or pin-point crack that could have been mistakenly caused by you.

Hope this helps.

We also have a 3D TV along with a 3D capable Blu Ray player. The glasses that I have are the 3D "shutter" style glasses. Yes, you are correct, very expensive. Both my wife and I Vap and have while watching in #D mode so wearing the glasses. There has been no problem like this (or any) while Vaping and wearing the glasses.

Something to note if you also have the "shutter" glasses. You are supposed to sit in an upright position while wearing them. Said that somewhere in all the paper work somewhere. LOL! Laying on your side or being funny and hanging upside down (LOL!) will confuse the glasses and cause them to think they are not being worn and you have laid them down and they will turn themselves off. I have also noted that if there is a light source off to the side brighter than the TV the glasses will have problems displaying correctly. Solution to those problems is easy to correct. Sit up and turn off that light. LOL!

Now as for your specific problem by laying on your side you may have laid your head briefly on your hand or the couch end causing a little pressure on the glasses and starting a hairline crack. I imagine that would produce what you are experiencing. See if you can exchange them.

Now as for 3D TV and movies. Mmm... Sadly this technology is ahead of the movie release game. Hardly ANY titles are available to buy that are TRUE 3D movies. I really wish that when they release a movie that was 3D in the theater that they would release a 3D version of the movie. Not the case sadly YET. There are not many titles out in 3D yet. (sigh)

you only show one lens what about the other side? Nothing on that one?

Yeah, the other side is fine. The main reason I even suspected that vapor was the culprit is that I was blowing the vape into that side of the glasses. I also ended up blowing more onto the lens once I had noticed what had happened, and it caused the splotch to grow a bit.

Most definitely LCD leakage. If you've ever seen a broken calculator display (or LCD monitor/laptop monitor, as Dusty mentioned), you'll recognize it instantly. If you wanna confirm it, go out and pick up a cheap calculator, which you can even find in a Dollar Store, and break the LCD. You don't even need it turned on, the liquid crystal leaks inside the display and looks exactly like that.

See the problem is that if it DID undeed ruin your 3D glasses you need to prove that. Blow vape on the other side what happens? Nothing? you may have had a tiny crack that you couldnt see maybe the vape made it worse but something has to be the root cause and Its not looking like its VAPOR
