I've recently had a chance to try out RiZe's ECOvape RICH and their DARK RICH, along with RiZe's Turkish Gold and their Flue Cured e-liquid flavors. I got them about 2 weeks ago, but have let them steep more than a week before giving a review them here. To be honest, the extra week and a few days of steeping doesn't seem to have made much of a flavor diifference with any of them. None of these e-liquid flavors are bad, but none of them particularly stand out either. All of these were tried out in 16ml nicotine strength level, which is a bit higher than I normally use these days. They are all 100% VG, with no PG blended in. All were vaped on an ECHO auto battery, using new CE4 type clearomizers (tanks).
The ECOvape RICH is the darkest of the 4 e-liquids by far - a dark, semi-clear red color. It tastes dark, and rich, in a molasses-like sort of way. It has a sweetness to it, and is very heavy, with a touch of artificiality to it. I personally don't like it because it just doesn't have the right tobacco-like taste notes to it for me. It has pretty darn good throat hit though, and is vaguely reminiscent of smoking a cigar, or even pipe tobacco. I can really taste that rich red coloring, which is one of the main flavor impacts it gives me. It is nothing at all like any of the old ECOpure tobacco flavors that I recall. This stuff gives me a head buzz pretty quickly. Vapor production is very decent, though nothing particularly amazing. There is nothing ECOpure malty about it to me.
ECOvape RICH is much lighter in color than the DARK RICH, but is still a bit darker than the 2 RiZe e-liquid flavors I also tried. I would call it a honey color. It too doesn't really have any kind of a malty flavor, but is certainly less heavy tasting than the DARK RICH, without the molasses-like flavor component. ECOvape RICH also has less throat hit than the DARK RICH, but it still has plenty enough throat hit at this nicotine level. This e-liquid also still fails to deliver quite the right tobacco-like flavor feel for me, but it is definitely more cigarette-like than the DARK RICH flavor. It has a sweetness too it as well, but not as much as the DARK RICH (which in itself was not overly strong). In a way, it kind of tastes like a DARK RICH light, but without the heavy molasses like flavor. It also tastes a bit more dry and green leafy - which may be why it feels more like cigarette tobacco to me. All in all it isn't bad, but it doesn't have that clean vaping impression that one used to get from ECOpure RICH, but it is also somewhat more genuinely tobacco-like tasting and feeling. Vapor production is fine.
Now to the RiZe e-liquid flavors, both of which are fairly light in color - a light honey color.
First, RiZe's Turkish Gold. This is a light flavor, with a gentle sweetness. It is almost minty in flavor, but not quite. It is cleaner tasting than either of the 2 ECOvape e-liquid flavors I tried. It may even have a touch of malt flavor to it, but it is hard to tell for me. I haven't had a malty flavored e-liquid in a long time. It really isn't all that particularly tobacco-like in flavor, but it surprisingly pleasant, in a fairly low key kind of way. It has a leafy flavor, but almost more of a leafy mint, rather than tobacco leaf. This makes it slightly weird, as it has a bit of leafy green bitterness too it. Vapor production is pretty much on par with the ECOvape e-liquids. Throat hit is not bad, but that slight plant-like bitterness this e-liquid has isn't terribly tobacco-like, so it really doesn't appeal to me. It tastes nothing like a real Turkish cigarette, or even an e-liquid like DeKang's Turkish Blended - which definitely has a more genuinely a slightly spicy Turkish tobacco flavor to it, but is also a mostly all PG e-liquid.
RiZe Flue Cured. This has quite a nasal exhale throat hit packed into it, on par with the ECOvape DARK RICH. That throat hit kind of overwhelms the flavor of this e-liquid, making it difficult to describe accurately. Like RiZe's Turkish Gold, there is a slightly malty flavor component to this e-liquid, but not very strong. This is what provides the sweetness to this flavor, as seems to be the case with RiZe's Turkish Gold. But thankfully there is no leafy green bitterness here. Nor is there any woodsy tobacco flavor or mint. There is a tobacco flavor, but it is generally low key in itself. Despite that, there is a tobacco-like richness to this flavor, which along with its good (possibly too strong) throat hit is what gives this e-liquid its primary characteristics. This makes it more cigarette tobacco-like than the other 3 e-liquids overall. Vapor production is good, adding to this affect. Inhale is smooth. It is the exhale that is a bit throat hit harsh.
Of these 4 e-liquid flavors, I prefer ECOvape's RICH and RiZe's Flue Cured. Both are the most cigarette style tobacco-like of the bunch, with the ECOvape RICH having a bit more discernable flavor complexity, and less throat hit harshness. Both are otherwise quite different from each other, with the Flue Cured flavor having a fuller, heavier vapor feel to it. Neither is terribly much like Intellicig's ECOpure RICH, except in the most general of ways, and in that all 3 are 100% VG e-liquids. If you are looking for a close match to ECOpure RICH, none of these will suit you, but may be of interest anyway. They are decent enough all VG e-liquids, but I for one will probably experiment mixing them together to see if I can end up with something a little more to my liking. All of these e-liquids lack in flavor complexity, which is something I personally enjoy, so I will keep looking around for other all VG e-liquids that will hopefully suit me better. The RiZe e-liquids show some potential, so I may check out some of their other flavor offerings.
