Ah! Ok, that makes sense. The issue you are experiencing is called ramp time or ramp up time. The TVF4 has coils with big wire and lots of surface area. THe thing about it is, the coil in your TVF is a lot more massive (in the physics sense) than the ones in the Nauti. Since they have more mass, it takes more power to heat them to vapor temperature than less massive coils. Therefore, ramp time varies indirectly with applied power. At 20 watts, it takes a few seconds to put enough power on the coil to heat it. At 50 watts, it happens faster because you're applying more power per time period.
Perfectly explained, once again. I'm a worrier and an obsesser. I couldn't relax when I thought it may be a fault. I am one of those people in life that just can't except things as they are. I HAVE to understand WHY they are. Now I'm happy.

What kind of vape are you now getting on the TFV4 mini after the all the adjustments?

Wish there was a new post alert when I'm tapping..
Tapatalk? I'm slightly annoyed at its notifications. Wish I could change that sound specifically, to help me differentiate it from my other apps (emails) notification sound. And the new post alert when you're tapping too.

It's a whole other experience for me. I think at first I was taken a back and instantly decided it wasn't for me when really I just needed a bit of time to get used to the difference. After adjusting and spending some time with the set up I'm finding it strangely addictive. The flavour is on another level compared to my Nautilus mini. The flavour on my Nauti now tastes flat in comparison. I also LOVE the clouds but I do have a feeling though that my absolute ideal vape might be to drip using a higher resistance coil. That way I would get the flavour I wanted but could also use a tighter draw and MTL. Then again, maybe I'll fall in love with sub ohm, direct lung and super airy draws? I'm kind of unsure at the moment.

As long as you can find your ideal vape now, you can work towards the rest later. Glad to hear its finally working out for you. Vape on! <insert vape dude, which is nonexistent on tapatalk>

I'm really glad they finally arrived. And I'm sorry you had to pay the missing postage. Like you I am surprised they needed more than a stamp!

I've been battling with this for 5 years now. Various locations, various treatments. At present my suffering comes mostly from the damage caused by the treatment and because of this, I am most likely approaching the end of my battle.

But that's ok. I don't want to make everyone sad.

I've been reading a lot about tanks recently. As much as I love/am obsessed with dripping, I would like to try the aromamiser and maybe the tfv4. I think I would have to get them by pretending they were for the OH to take to work or something. Then just steal them :) I'm curious to see how tanks are progressing.

I didn't realise how much I disliked my nautilus until I went sub ohm with the kanger subtank. It was, IMHO, hard work. Little flavour, little vapour and a really tight draw which just isn't for me. But a lot of people love them.

I'll send you a message about something else in a moment :)

Glad you are enjoying your new set up now.

Hey guys, I've come to the conclusion that the TFV4 is too much of a beast for me at the moment. Way too much a jump from tootle puffing on my Nautilus Mini. In terms of the vaping experience it feels like too big a leap. I'm looking around for less of a cloud huffing sub ohm tank. I keep coming back to the Cubis so I think I'll give that a shot. Any other suggestions? I will look through the thread again because I'm sure a few tanks have been suggested already. Also, if I was looking to vape at around 15-30w what resistance coil would better serve the purpose? That will help me decide on the right tank. I can check out the coil options and see if it seems right for what looking for.

I have shinyitis for sure. I'm already itching to get the EVic Mini and the R80 is barely out of the box.

Just curious, but which mods out there are the most complex? Which have crazy menu's/options/screens? Does it get much more complicated than the Smok R80? I was surprised by how simple it was. I expected to struggle with the set up for some reason.

I've rambled on for long enough now. :D

All I can see is that their replacement coils come in 0.25 and 0.3 ohms. Do you guys know of any others? If that is the case, and if you have found an airflow setting to your liking, then regrettably the rba deck would be your immediate choice with this tank. Whilst you've said you don't want to build your own coils; it will however allow you to build higher ohms. If you've got your heart set on another tank, look back on this thread, or other threads. There are plenty of other options, in fact better ones for tootle-puffers. And if you have a nearby brick-n-motor vendor, that is an option for someone else to install and wick your coils, but at a cost.

Is there nothing you can adjust or fiddle with on your current tank to make it suit you better? I'm sure I've read it has a huge range of coils and good adjustable air flow.

The Tvf has a wide variety of coils, and good adjustments. But it is not a low-to-medium power thing. If you don't throw some watts at it, it takes forever to heat up.

Yeah it seems it's different types of coils rather than different resistance. That's a PITA.

I really think the subtank would be good for you. It comes with a 0.5 and a 1.6 coil. They also now sell temp control coils for it. The airflow can be anywhere in between tiny to huge! If nothing else it would help you pin down your particular vaping style and what it is you want from a tank. The mini and full size come with an RBA too if you ever get into to building you can save yourself some pennies on coils.

I want one. Just to try it. Wanna send me yours?

Hehe. Nope [emoji12] My lungs are still in recovery mode and they struggle in the mornings, so I have grand plans to turn my Subox Mini into my morning setup. I'm going to chuck dual coils into it and one my favourite juices, and use it low-mid watts.
