Yes, it is definitely a tank for low ohm, high wattage vapers. SO many people advised me to get the Subtank and I think perhaps it would have been a smarter choice to get the Subox or Topbox Mini. It seems more a step up than a leap. That said, I love the new mod and got the whole set up for £46. For that I have a mod that I can use with any tank I decide to get, plus I have a tank that I may get a little more joy out of further into my vaping future. I'm still set on an Evic VTC. Perhaps I'll pair it with the Subtank? I'll most likely buy that and the Cubis from Fasttech and go from there. The Tvf has a wide variety of coils, and good adjustments. But it is not a low-to-medium power thing. If you don't throw some watts at it, it takes forever to heat up.
Thank youFor a decent vape in the 15-30 watt range, .7-1 should get you moving.
Can I be a huge pain and ask you to tell me the recommended wattage range for each coil resistance? I really should be reading up on ohms law but I just want a quick idea and I can't find the info online. The charts don't seem to correlate with what I'm hearing here and on YouTube. For a decent vape in the 15-30 watt range, .7-1 should get you moving.

How did your guys experience with giving up smoking go? The reason I ask is this; I started vaping on 30th Nov and continued to smoke a hugely reduced number of cigarettes (I was smoking one or two a day) for a couple of weeks, then I quit altogether. I had no real craving, didn't notice any side effects or withdrawal symptoms until around two weeks ago. I have a constant cold, aches and pains, fatigue and nausea. I have broken out in spots and my skin looks grey and tired. On top of that I have a CONSTANT nasty taste in my mouth which no amount of brushing or drinking water seems to fix. Is this just a coincidence that I have gotten run down around this time or did you experience anything similar?
One more nosy type question. Where do you keep your vape gear?
Mine was a struggle. And yes, I had the "winner's flu" for a while. You can't give up an addiction like smoking with no consequences, you know. As for gear, I keep it pretty much everywhere. I have mods in the bath and the kitchen and in the garage and on my desk and in the car and on every flat surface there's room for one, just in case I forget which hand is holding the active mod.Yes, it is definitely a tank for low ohm, high wattage vapers. I don't mind you asking, but there aren't any charts below 1.2 ohms of which I am aware and the ones that exist make some assumptions that are pretty broad and only encompass round wires anyway. It's actually more than just resistance, unfortunately. It's about the power produced per square area of the coil surface. Power per area controls the amount of vapor and whether or not your juice and cotton burn. What I'm saying is, a .5Ω coil wound with 28ga wire will have a different sweet spot than a .5Ω coil wound with 24ga wire-- both of which it is perfectly possible to do-- because the ratio of surface to volume (or mass) is different for different wire diameters. Then you start twisting or Claptoning your coil wires and you come up with a topological nightmare trying to solve for the surface area and mass, albeit mass, at least, can be directly measured. The coil calculator I use has an algorithm that calculates the radiated power (mW/mm^2 or milliwatts per millimeter squared) for any potential coil build and wattage I might care to try. That's how I figure it out. I know I am most comfortable in the 25-60 watt range, and will go up to 80 or 90 on some come occasions, depending on whether I want to blow cloud or quietly vape-- I wind different coils for different purposes-- and that's actually my starting point. I try various combinations of wire types (Kanthal, NiCr, Stainless), wire diameters, coil mandrel diameters, number of wraps, and coil types (slick wire, twists, parallels, Claptons, whatever) for whatever mod mode (wattage or TC) and power level I intend the coil I am building. To me, those things are all variables and I mix and match to match my wattage, not the other way around. It's different using prefab coils: those variables are fixed because somebody else made the coil. But there are still as many variables, it's just you buy them and not make them. You can get a general idea from the resistance-- a 2Ω coil wound with 20ga wire would be the size of a bracelet-- but it's really hard to say without knowing exactly the composition of the prefab coil, and we don't, of course. We have no idea what wire gauge or type or diameter or anything else, so there's no real way to calculate it with anything resembling accuracy. So we use rule of thumb: start low, and work up until you get the vape you want. If it starts to taste off or burn, that's too high. Can I be a huge pain and ask you to tell me the recommended wattage range for each coil resistance? I really should be reading up on ohms law but I just want a quick idea and I can't find the info online. The charts don't seem to correlate with what I'm hearing here and on YouTube.
I still have my daily troubles in regard to quiting cigarettes and the after effects of smoking for so long, but there's not much point for me to talk about it. I just look forward to when I'm fully healed. The only thing I'm sad about is that I bought so many expensive juices. Had I known I would not be able to fully taste and appreciate them, I would have gone for cheaper ones. Oh well, happy days.

I hope I'll be able to save some for that [emoji5]The good news is, by the time you can taste them, they'll all be nicely steeped.![]()

I do, yes. No real need, but it saves them from coming loose when I do soapy water after PGA and going down the rain, and it clears the o-ring groove to get clean behind the ring itself.I just received my replacement glass tube for the Griffin RTA. Yay! Not only that, but there was also another tank in the box, save for the base with RBA component.
So for the first time I'm pulling apart my Griffin and checking it out, before I start cleaning it. Do you guys take off the O-Rings before cleaning the tank? Especially when using Vodka?
I did, and I'm also washing the rings in a seperate soapy mixture. Don't have to worry about them going the drain because I'll use a mesh. I was concerned about breaking any when trying to get it out, but I managed by being really careful. Thank you.I do, yes. They do break sometimes. That's why you have sparesI did, and I'm also washing the rings in a seperate soapy mixture. Don't have to worry about them going the drain because I'll use a mesh. I was concerned about breaking any when trying to get it out, but I managed by really careful. Thank you.

Regrettably there were no spares for the one I broke last time. It was for the Subtank Mini's drip tip. I'll try to match it with one of the spares I do have, or else I'll have to buy one. Luckily the Subox kit came with 2 drip tips; I'm using one on my Aromamizer. They do break sometimes. That's why you have spares![]()
I don't remember the spec on it, but o-rings are not hard to find at industrial supply houses.Regrettably there were no spares for the one I broke last time. It was for the Subtank Mini's drip tip.
