Hey Cgristie, nyiddle is correct that battery is an ICR chemistry that is violent when things go bad. Using an IMR or hybrid battery is a much safer option.

Among other things, there is no information on the amp rating for these batteries (as far as I can find). These batteries are pretty much strictly for flashlights.

Hello and welcome to the forum CCooper75. Glad to have you here!:)

The only suitable batteries for vaping with are IMR (Li-Mn) or IMR/Hybrid, safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries. Check out this blog by Baditude (our resident battery/safety expert). He has a list of batteries (and chargers) that would meet your needs. Pay close attention to the Amp rating (especially if you are using rebuildales), not the mah.

- choose the safest and right battery for your applications here. Includes a list of name brand, high-drain, safe-chemistry batteries with mAh & amp ratings in 18350, 18490/18500, and 18650 sizes.

So my Samsung ICR-2600 Mah battery should get disposed of and I should get a good brand IMR for my 1.8ohm 4.8 Max voltage device? I do like that this battery lasts a very long time. But if I have to get a high drain battery 2200-2400 mah battery and just charge it a little more often but i'm safer I wouldn't be mad about it.

You can still use your ICR batteries for other applications. They work great in flashlights if you have any that take that size battery.
