i have an efest 35 amp 18650. havent had any problems with it so far. would anyone happen to know about the quality of composition compared to the other 18650s?
Well, there's a strong possibility that this battery actually has only a 20 amp continuous discharge rate rather than the advertised 35 amp rating that Efest claims.

An independent reviewer of batteries removed the purple wrapping and found a LG18650HE2 battery cell. LG states that battery is only a 20 amp battery. So, who you gonna believe? The original manufacturer of the cell or the company who is just rebranding it, and has a past history of exaggerating their battery specifications?

I find this disconcerting, as the people buying this battery expecting 35 amps for extreme sub-ohm vaping are only getting a 20 amp battery. :glare:

Efest 30 & 35 amp batteries

This is a rebranded LG18650HE2 cell. Careful: max continuous discharge rate for this cell is 20A *NOT* 35A as advertised by Efest.
Dampfakkus.de:

This is a very high current battery, but the 35A rating might be a bit optimistic.

The purple "Efest 18650 2100mAh 30A" are rewrapped Sony US18650VTC4. Again, quoting Dampfakkus.de:

I am very sure this is in fact simply a rebranded Sony US18650VTC4 cell.

There is no overseeing agency which governs the authenticity of battery specifications. A manufacturer can list whatever specifications they like. Most companies are pretty truthful of their specs, if they list them at all. What is happening with Efest, is they are listing what is actually the "pulse" rating as the "amp rating"; the "continuous" rating is the standard spec when comparing batteries from one brand to another. The pulse rating is typically much higher than the continuous rating. Efest has had a history of exaggerating their battery's specs in the past. I consider this rather deceiving.

I have problem with efest imr 35A. This time I charge using intelicharge Chinese made for about 6 hours. The indicator change from red to green after 7 hours and thinking that fully charge. But surprisingly after insert into my sigelei, it doesn't fire it up. I've checked with multimeter and shows 0.3v.
Is there anyway how to revive the imr battery? I've use it for about 4 times.

Did you actually mean 0.3 volts, or 3.0 volts? What setting did you use for your voltage meter?

A battery with 3.0 volts should charge up to 4.2 volts with any decent quality charger. If it only has 0.3 volts that's a dead battery.

I've been using (2) Effest purple 35 amp batteries for 2 months now. I usually have a .18-.20 ohm dual build setup. With the amp limit being 20 amp you can run it at .21 ohms. From what I've seen, cloud contest and build are around .20 ohms now with ppl just doing low builds for personal reason. I perfer a .20 build on my dripper. And with my russian 91% I run a .6-.7 ohm build that has the battery lasting most of the day. Probably picking up some sony vtc's later for comparison. My friends run sony batteries and I've use there's not that big of a difference to me. Never had a warm battery!
