Well it's official I've been off of cigarettes now for about a month and a half. The deal is I travel a lot and I don't get to spend a lot of time at home. So after just being home for a week I noticed that there's a lot of things different in my life. First thing I noticed was the smoking indoors thing. Wow it's raining and I didn't have to go outside. Then there was the smoking in the car with my wife in there hmmm Still had to crack the window a bit.
After a few days of this my wife started complaining of headaches from all the vapor smoke in the air. Could this be has anyone else had problems like headaches from secondhand vapor smoke.
So now when I'm home I can find myself vapeing in my office with a fan blowing out the window

I hear you. Guess I'm just being selfish. Thinking back many many years ago when me and my wife first got together I was allowed to smoke in the one room and the next thing I knew was sitting outside freezing my a** off smoking. I'm just wondering if there's a lot of other people get headaches from the second hand vapor

Truth is....there has not been any definitive study published on what is in the exhale of E-Liquids. It's all speculation at this point.

Some common sense ....

Not everyone inhales and exhales the same. Some people take a deep lung filling drag, hold it for a few seconds, then exhale. Other do this much more shallow. So it is impossible to determine how much of the ingredients are absorbed by the vaper and what is being exhaled.

E-liquids have different levels of nicotine. See above for absorption/exhalation issues.

E-liquids come in different ratios of PG and VG. Some people are more sensitive to one or the other.

You didn't say what you are vaping, and if your wife was/is a smoker. Perhaps you are vaping a high nic liquid and you are exhaling some nic and she is inhaling it and it is enough for her to have a reaction. Maybe she is sensitive to the PV or VG.

For me, I am vaping at work, at my desk, and no one is complaining. I do ask them, because I don't want to be a jerk about it, but so far, they are all cool with it and no one seems to be having a physical reaction.
Same at home. I vape like crazy, and neither my wife or kids are experiencing any physical reactions.
Same in my car.

The biggest reaction I get when vaping is "Ooh, that smells good".

Good luck to you. I have been off analogs a short time less than you and I feel so much better for it.

My nicotine level varies from about 12 to 18% and the majority of my home smoking is from a genesis atomizer

I read a few articles recently ( probably linked in above post ) that said the risk to secondhand is none.

She could be still irritated by the vapor, but maybe she's irritated by how you do it? Everywhere, vapor haze in the room etc.

Not saying you need to be banished outside, but if she's making waves because of it. Maybe sit by a window, different room, not try to hotbox the living room.

there are some people who are very sensitive to fragrances/perfumes, so being that our juice contains flavours that to emit an aroma, it seems that there are some people who might get a headache from the aroma/ fragrance.

To test this out, get some flavourless nic juice and see if it has an affect on her, and to make sure, tell her its "no nic" and see if she doesn't get a headache. Without nic, its less polluting than room freshener.

Im not telling you shes doing it on purpose, but it could be the good ole fashioned case of passive/aggression. She might know its better than smoking, but she might still be resentful that you are still puffing on something and you still act/look like a smoker.

BTW, im a woman and know these secrets.

Hmmm. I have a bottle of 100% VG at home think I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately I'm back on the road probably won't be home for another week. I'll be in North Carolina in another five hours

I am in a similar situation. My DH says that my vapor bothers him. He can smell it and says it 'affects' him by giving him a headache or just a little dizzyness. He has said this from the beginning. With a couple of my juices, even though he says he likes the smell, he still gets the effects. In the car, he opens a window if I vape. We went to a small vape meet last month, he was feeling a little dizzy there. He has never been a smoker. He has tried my vape a couple of times to taste the flavor and he says it hits him harder than if he took a drag off a cigarette. I vape 24mg.

In the beginning (2 months ago) I thought he was complaining to complain. Now I do not think it is the case. He supports my vaping. He just says he can smell it and it affects him. He does say it is better than being around smoke. He does not care for the smell, no matter what I vape. I do vape mostly tobaccos.

We discussed this a bit in chat last week, there was a report that ecigs had the same carcinogens as regular smokes. But in the report it really stated that out of ten, only ten disposable ecigs, they found fermaldohyde. ( don't remember if all or a percentage )

Without knowing the actual brands used, I can see Chinese cheap brands having less quality control, or using cheaper materials or preservatives, and having a negative effect like that.

It's hard to say without knowing the products used. But with anything there can be issues like this. Thomas the tank engine toys were being painted with lead paint In china, they just don't care about some things like we do.

Sadly, nowadays I take any report with a grain of salt. They can be manipulated, misconstrued and just plane false. The Internet has lost its credibility with me all together.
