Went back to the doctor yesterday, I took her a list of my blood pressure readings since I switched from Pall Malls to my E-Cig (btw 1 month since I had a cig, woot!).

My blood pressure has been so good she cut my bp meds from 40mg down to 20mg. She also listened to my lungs and said they sounded clear, no rattling or anything.

She also answered a few questions I had that others quitting cigs may find useful. I have had a few periods of being short of breath and some headaches since switching. She told me that is perfectly normal for someone who quit smoking.

She explained that cigarette smoke paralyzes the cilia in our lungs and once we stop they become active again. Our lungs also begin to produce mucus to remove the tar build up, which causes the shortness of breath. She said it usually last about a month, but could last up to 9 months for some, depending on how long you smoked.

Also the sinus pain/headache is due to the fact that I've had rhinitis so long from smoking (I had forgotten I could breath through my nose lol) and now my sinuses are in a bit of disarray from quitting the cigs, again it should clear up eventually.

She also did a full blood work up on me, cell count, liver and kidney function, thyroid, cholesterol and such. I'm sure it will be fine, but will post the results if anything comes up related to the e-cigs.

So after 1 month, everything looking good so far! :)

It's not unusual for my before bedtime BP to get down into the 115/64 range since I cut my smoking from 2 PAD to about 5 cigs a day and replaced it with vaping. I hope to be able to back off on the BPM as my body begins to operate more efficiently and I work my way down to low nic and the smoking related constriction of the blood vessels relaxes.

Now to lose some of the extra weight! Losing weight, getting rid of analogs, and exercising more = no or minimum BP meds.
