EGO 18650 Being a Dingus

Hello all, I was hoping someone could help understand whats wrong with my EGO 18650 PV. It is brand new, and when I opened it straight out of the box, screwed in a brand new 1.8 LR atty and starting vaping it seemed fine. Shortly after it seemed very weak, so I decided to charge it. It didnt take long to satisfy the battery, which definitely made me worry. Then I put the atty back on and the light just flashed, and wouldnt fire. I then tried a different atty, standard ohms this time, and it worked. I then tried the 1.8 LR atty on my Ego twist, and it worked great too. Now the 18650 will not fire at all with any atty, carto, etc. When I push the button with nothing attached, it works fine, but as soon as I put any load on it, I get the fail flash. I tested the battery, and it is full at 4.2V, so I know that isnt the problem. The attys I am using are fine, so it must be the control unit. Anyone else experience this? It is the old school model, non variable. Thanks for any advice you may have.

Clean the battery contact under the head.
Make sure the Head center pin did not get crushed down
Test again

If no joy, contact vender and report DOA

I would contract the vender. Sounds like you got a lemon. On a side note, I haven't heard many good things about the 18650 ego mods. Seems like every site I go to that sells them have loads of negative reviews.

On mine the button is getting all squishy and doesn't fire half the time. I won't be buying another one.

Well thanks for the info, I have contacted the vendor, and I'm awaiting a response.
