Ego arrived not happy

Got my first Ego today and I'm not very happy.First both batteries are dead thought they was supposed to be shipped charged.Also I think its a knock off Ego.For what I've read on here the real Ego has a silver band this one is gold.The real one has a plastic button this one is rubber.
The cartos that come with works on my 510 slim,but my 510 atty wont work on the ego.Every time I try it the ego blinks like 5 times then wont work.It came with no instructions.So when I put the cartomizer on the ego it works but not my 510 slim atty.It is supposed to be a 900 mah battery but looks small to be a 900 mah battery.Any suggestions?....

Can you post a picture?
You may need to wiggle the bottom post of your atty out a just tiny bit. Take a sharp object and just wiggle it a down a bit.

Sounds like a fake to me. The ego batteries don't really come charged though, they only have a mild charge, but die shortly thereafter and require an 8 hour charge for the first time. But the 510 atty works with the ego battery, which makes me think fake. Also, I'm not sure egos even come in 900mah.

Where did you purchase it from? Cost? Sadly if a deal looks too good to be true, it is. Also, be sure to check the return policy.

Where did you get it? And did the place list it as Joye Ego? Joye is the original manufacturer and usually place swill list it as Joye if it is Joye. And did any of the boxes say Joye or joyetech?

And is there any faint text inscribed into the metal collar of the battery of the outside (the outside of the part that has threads inside). I don't now if Egos are labeled there but I know my Riva (a popular clone) is.

Looks like a Riva to me. IMHO better than the Ego. And yeah, usually you'll need to charge for a while when they first arrive.

BTW that looks big enough to be 900mah - lemme go measure my 750mah

My 750mah is a bit over 2 3/4 inches from the top edge of the metal collar to the metal edge at the bottom (i.e. whole height of the battery with nothing on it)

None of it was in boxes it all was in the carry case.Just the cartomizers was in a white box.All but the carto's was just thrown in the case pretty crappy handling if you ask me.

That's a Riva and I also got mine from MadVapes when I first started. Try raising the center post on your atomizer and cartomizer as others have suggested.

I would call that a knock-off of a Riva.. lol

Thanks for the advice about the atty.Did what was suggested and works like a champ.I'm only really mad because I did not get what I thought I had paid for.Also after messing around with them only 1 battery was dead.So over all I do like the product so far.Just cant wait to see how long the battery life is between charges,cause I was a heavy smoker.I will be getting some different cartomizers and I want to get a map tank for this.I'm pretty sure I can make one myself at least I hope.So I'm going to keep what they sent if it works the way I hope it does.So I guess its safe to say I got a riva? and all joye stuff will work with it right?.Thanks to everyone that replied to my rant and rave lol.

You did get a Riva and all of your 510 stuff will work with it! YAY! IMHO, I think that you got a good deal. I'm a chain vaper and those batteries would last 6-8 hours between charges for me. I bought them 8 months ago and they're still going strong! My fiance didn't take to mods, so he uses them daily.

I think you'll be very pleased with them. Now, go vape your head off!

YAY! Glad the atty trick worked for you!
Anything that works on an Ego works on the Riva. Anything 510 thread works on the Riva.

When you start ordering cartomizers or atomizers, if you order any Low Resistance, know that it will decrease your battery time a little.

I have 4 Rivas. Two of them Ive had since march 28th. They still work as they did from day one. They hold charge and hit just as hard. One of them even went for a swim in the pool and still works like new.

Make sure you keep your threads clean.

Look on th back of your charger and see what the output is. A regular ego/riva charger is 420 mA output. The description in the ad says 200mA. It would take you quite a long time to chargea 900 mAh batt with a 200 mA charger

Well its official I love what I got lol.Rimp on the back of the charger it's output say's 200mah.I hit this bad boy and it made me almost yak up a lung but I held it down lol.So I'm now a happy camper.Thanks for all the advice and info.
