That's not good! They are shorting themselves somehow. This is the nightmare scenario and could well lead to a fire. Its possible the button switches were cheap and are shorting themselves. Maybe you got a lot of juice in the switch?? I have not experienced this, but just a thought. If any of these are still new, contact the vendor and try to get a replacement. Its info they would want, because it could mean they got a bad lot of batteries in. I would NOT leave these with attys/cartos attached unattended. If you can't get them replaced, I would buy more from someone else. BTW, this is the first I have heard of this for eGo batts, but it has happened with mods and earlier models.
