ego-c atomisers

I've only had my ego-c around a week. After 3 days the first atomiser stopped working. My second one was fine until today when it started giving off a burnt taste. I know these things aren't long out but has anyone experienced anything similar and does anyone know of any resurrection / cleaning methods?

Check youtube for videos on cleaning the ego-t, the ego-c will be similar but much easier to do. You can actually wiggle the spike loose by hand with the ego-c to check/clean the coil and wick

I put a new atomiser in last night and was still getting a bit of a burnt taste despite having also cleaned out the tank and the atomiser holder. It has lessened since. Does anyone know if the atomisers require a dry burn? I loved this thing when I got it last week (my first ego) but my enthusiasm is waning a bit. I've ordered some LR atomisers as I read they bring out the taste more.
