Hi everybody!

I've been avidly stalking the form for the past week or so now and have found some really great and helpful information about the various types of e-cigs. Seems to be the best place online to get info, so that's why I'm here. Hoping I can get some good answers on whether or not the eGo-C would be a good mid-size device for me to purchase.

First, here's some background on me. I've been a 1PAD smoker for the past 3 years. I started dabbling with e-cigs with the Blu (awwwwful!) around September of last year, but gave up entirely after being dissatisfied with low battery life and the inconsistent quality of the smoke juice in the cartridges. Sometimes they'd taste burnt right from the start, and a couple times I even tasted what could only be described as moldy...disgusting!

Just about two weeks ago I bought the NJoy starter kit (menthol). Initially, I was very impressed with the quality of the flavor and the vapor production. It's been so good, as a matter of fact, that in the last two days I have not had a single cigarette and I am now committed to give up the analogs for good. The only downsides are that I'm tearing through the cartomizers VERY rapidly, so I'm actually spending around the same amount of money as I did on analogs. Also, the battery life is low (I believe it is a KR808D-1 model). The verdict around here seems to be that filling your own cartomizers is the way to go for economic relief and battery life, and I'm also VERY enticed by the humongous variety of smoke juice flavors out there. So now the only thing I need to do is narrow down the right mid-size e-cig for me.

I like what I see in the eGo-C. The price seems fair, the battery life is nice, and it seems to be able to produce a LOT of vapor! I also like the fact that you don't have to deal with filler material. Does anybody here recommend this model and know where I can find it at a decent price? Also, for those of you who use one, what is the maintenance like on it? Can you clean and re-use the mouth pieces? And how often do you have to replace the batteries and atomizer heads?

Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks for reading! :)

You sound ALOT like me when I first started vaping. The blu disposable was what got me into vaping. I then purchased the n-joy kit from a kangaroo gas station as well as a v2 kit. I was happy, but then I found the forums. The blu and njoy/v2 phase lasted from Thanksgiving of 2011 to right around Christmas. The next phase for me was the Ego-T (the ego-c was not released yet). So.... I enjoyed the ego-t, but was longing for more. The Provari was what I kept reading about. If you have $200, go ahead and invest in a Provari. I use the provari mostly with a tank setup. If you aren't familiar with tanks, there are plenty of us here that can fill you in with info. You spend the initial $200 for the provari, 2 batteries and a charger and its the last pv you will ever need. Only other costs will be cartomizers (Boge LR are what I recommend), juice, and a tank setup (if you decide to go that route). This probably sounds pretty overwhelming to you, but this is my recommendation. If you are giving up analogs and going into vaping, you are probably as hyped about this transition as I was and the best move I made was getting the Provari. Its not because its a Provari, its because of what it does, how it looks, and most importantly, the quality of the vaping experience. $200 is a lot to invest, but I promise you will not regret it. If you buy it and realize you don't like it, I will personally buy it from you. That's how confident I am in recommending this to you. If you decide on this, myself along with many other Provari users will help you out. Check out PBusardo's video of the Provari review.... great stuff man!

Ego-C's aren't necessarily the best option available at the moment. But compared to what you've been vaping, they'd be heaven.

I really liked the Ego-C when I was using it.

Provari would be quite a jump. But I can't argue about how good they're suposed to be, having one on order myself :D

If you're not ready to layout $200. I'd suggest something like this: eGo Vision Clearomizer Starter Kit

Hi, I am new to ECF also but have been vaping for a couple months, I started out with a 510 and quickly changed up to ego t and 3 months ago got the ego c. I could not be happier with it, I am still using the original atty heads that came with my starter kit with only a blow out now and then, yes u can reuse the mouth pieces, the batteries are pretty good one lasts me all day, I use the mega batteries. And so far they are working great. I could not be happier with it. :p

Thanks for all the tips, guys! I'm thinking that the Provari would be too much of an investment for me at the moment (although I may just work myself up there eventually!), so at this point I've narrowed it down to an eGo. I'm not too 'clear' (forgive the pun, haha!) on the difference between clearomizers and standard atomizers. What is the difference in durability/ease of use?

If you want to stay in the same size and price range as the Ego, you can do much better than the ego. The ego is only 3.4 volts and comes standard with only a 650 mAh battery. In the same physical size/price category, the Kgo or E-Power are better options, IMO, because they are true 3.7 volt models and come standard with 1000+ mAh batteries. Why pay the same or more for less?? Here are some well supported suppliers:

Basically less "fiddle factor" on the clearomizers. Those you just fill and forget.

The C's can have some leakage issues and difficulty sometimes getting a good vape. When the C's are working properly they're heaven. But sometimes you gotta fiddle with them to get that heaven.

I totaly agree with wv2win, just bought a ego C few weeks ago for my second jump in to vaping. Last year i had a ego T.
The battery life on those sets annoyed me to no extend. Also had alot of leakage problems but that could have been from improper use. 1100 Mah set is wat i would be looking for if i wanted to stay in that price/size range.

I would suggest the eGo + Vision (Stardust) starter kit as well. I started on a 901t and then 2 weeks later purchased the eGo-C. I never experienced any leaks, but they sometimes to require some extra care if you get an atomizer that doesn't have the wick set properly. I've since added the Vision Stardust clearomizers to by eGo-C batteries and it's been a much better and more enjoyable vaping experience.

BTW - If / when you do decide to get a more advanced device with replaceable batteries (such as the Provari), please be sure to read up on battery safety and choose the proper batteries for the device, and the proper charger for the batteries.

Okay, so I was just too darn excited to wait any longer...I went ahead and ordered my KGO from Hoosier E-Cigs! Can I use the Boge 2.0ohm LR 510 cartomizers with it?

Good choice!! Based on the feedback from many Kgo users and the fact that it has better batteries than the ego, you should be pleased with your kit.
