eGo C or eRoll?

Well I should've guessed the input would consist of strong opinions on both sides, but I'm kind of glad...this way, it seems I can't make the wrong choice . I thought I'd get a lot more like perespera mentioned (step up higher, go with a twist) and am relieved the thread didn't go that direction. That said, perespera, thank you for your input, it is truly valuable. I think you're right, the ego c definitely lacks what the eRoll brings which is consistency due to the PCC keeping the bat at peak performance. I think I'm stuck on form factor...I like the cigalike WAY better than anything and think the ego looks goofy. I also prefer the automatic bat which I don't think the ego offers. That said I do have the njoy which I can still utilize out and about even if I get the ego. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm any further along towards a final selection. I just can't seem to pull the trigger...Ready aim, aim, aim, aim, aim...

I just bought the eRoll today and I'm really enjoying it. I am thinking about going back to the store though to get an eCab or another unit. I want something I can put a good amount of liquid in and use while I sit outside and read like I used to with my smokes.

It's a good choice. I went from Blu disposable and smoking cigarettes to the eRoll and off 'em in 24 hours. WAY better than Blu but again, they were the disposable kind. I almost bought the Blu kit, but then I found ECF and decided I would be happier with the eRoll. I used it exclusively and happily for about 7 weeks, now I have a spinner/evod combo for home and I use the eRoll at work.

I have no idea how the eRoll compares experience-wise to the NJoy: I hear they're pretty good but don't last long. You won't have that problem with the eRoll if you get the extra cone to make 2 units. They'll last you all day easily if you use one while the other one's charging. eRoll's gonna be heavier since the whole thing's metal.

I would suggest to get a spinner or twist with a tank system. I'm finding the two complement each other really well. I'm (hopefully) ordering a hybrid in the next couple of days and likely a provari mini down the road, but honestly--I'm totally cool with the setup I have now.

Enjoy your eRoll--I learned that it was really easy to chain vape with it, and I got a drawing technique down that really worked for me to get max vapor and flavor.

The ego-C kit with the ego tank system. Love the Ego-C batteries and hated the tank system. SO I ended up buying some CE5's to go on the ego batteries.

If you're a light smoker the eRoll is perfect.
Battery Info: 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge is needed

eRoll- batts are only 90 mah BUT the PCC (personal charging case) is 1000 mah- vape a little bit an put battery back in PCC for charging. Fires at 3.7 volts.
The juice delivery device (holds and vaporizes the juice) are proprietary. Cartridges are .6 ml. Replacement batteries are inexpensive- $10.00.

ego c- batts are either 650, 900 or 1000 mah. Fires at 3.3 volts. Threading is 510 so you can use many different juice delivery systems on it

In regards to the eGo Kits the EGO-C and Mini ViVi Nova Kit - $60.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes is better IMO. It has the Vision brand Vivi Nova Tanks. I've been using them for 10+ months without issue. Heads are easy (10 secs) and cheap ($2.00) to change. My heads are lasting 10+ weeks. I have used the Vision Clearo and found them lacking in quality. The Mini Vivi Nova holds 1.6 ml juice.

He is referring to the atomizer and tank system. I believe though am not sure you can put other 510 devices on it instead of the ego system.

If you can get by with your NJOY for awhile it would be a very good thing to take your time deciding on where you would like to go from here.

I absolutely needed the cig-alike form factor to make quitting easy for me. For the first month of vaping my cig-alike was pretty much glued in my hand like a security blankie. To this day I find great psychological comfort in the form factor despite having a huge pile of more powerful devices. However, other people are quite content with only having huge mods.

Not to add to the confusion but I'm wondering if pairing the eRoll with a full blown variable wattage mod to use at home might not work out best for your needs. Even though it would be more expensive neither device would likely be a junk drawer candidate.

Variable wattage (VW) is more "set and forget" than variable voltage (VV) but at the price of considerable size. I very much prefer the convenience and stability of VW over VV although not everyone minds fussing with changing voltage settings like I do. None of my VV devices will get replaced when they die.

Fast Tech has a great budget friendly deal on a stainless steel VAMO kit, Vamo-Vivi Stainless Steel Voltage Adjustable E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic 18650 batteries. The price is $53.33 and after using the coupon code CPASTE13SPRING it would be $50.66. Unlike all the other VAMO kits I've seen the charger and batteries are of excellent quality. The downside is that Fast Tech is a Chinese supplier so you have to wait for shipping. So far, from what I've read on ECF their customer service is timely and quite good.

The VAMO quite large but is easy to use and has a fast, easy menu system. It also has a ton of power if it turns out that is the type of vape you prefer.

However, whatever juice delivery device one chooses to use with a VAMO or eGo battery will probably be at least a wee bit trickier than coping with the eRoll tank cartridges although most won't need to be filled so often. If you have both the VAMO and the eRoll you can happily use the eRoll while you sort out any mischief on the part of the juice delivery device you have paired with your VAMO.

This is a review of the VAMO. You can ignore the chart stuff unless it interests you. The battery rattle issue has been fixed long ago with a sturdier spring.

Well I went to the B&M store today and the woman who quoted me the eRoll kit @ $39 last week claimed that's just for the battery and the kit is $70. Obviously I walked out as I can get the kit for $45 all day long on line. So I was with a customer after lunch that had an EgoC he asked if I minded he vaped to which I responded "only if you let me try it ". I'm hooked. Here's my 3 choices I've switched my aim to. I'm definitely pulling the trigger on one of these. Any chance I can get a unanimous decision on which to go with? PLEASE, no alternate suggestions or I'll be sucking on my NJOY strapped to a USB charger for life!

I haven't used a cig-alike since 2006/2007 so i can't comment on those but I love my ecab. It is the closest thing i can find to a cig-alike with user replaceable battery. I didn't bother buying the kit b/c the tank system and batteries are not that great. I use efest or aw batteries, the 510 adapter and 1.8-2.0 ohm Kanger horizontal carts (which are almost silent when in use). Sun-Vapers has the battery tube with 510 adapter ($11.99) and battery charger on sale ($4.99):

I have mech mods, twists and an Evic but when i want something sleek, discrete and pocket friendly i always grab the ecab. Also, i just prefer PVs with user replaceable batteries. Two 10440 batts fit no problem in the coin pocket of all my jeans. I'm surprised the ecab doesn't get more love around here. The only other cig-alike with user replaceable batteries i know of is the Super-T which is not available anymore.

I started on an eroll, and moved to a sigelei with a kanger protank, just got a vivi and a agat2 haven't had a chance to try them.


After moving up to the sigelei with protank I have a hard time using the eroll as it doesn't produce nearly as much vapour, and the battery in the cig doesn't last long at all. I'm a chain vaper and if I don't put it in the case every time I put it down for a few minutes I end up being without a charge. That being said I still love the eroll it helped me kick te cigs n it's compact size allows me to take it places I prolly shouldn't be vaping. If I'm working with my hands it's heavy but light enough I can bite the cart n keep it in my mouth.

I can't make much of a comparison for your situation but the eroll is a great piece of gear that is nice for being on the go when a larger vape isn't practical

1- Vision Clearos are not very good quality wise.
2- the eGo C only fires at 3.3 volts. 2.4 ohms is too high and will give a weak vape. 1.8- 2.0 ohms is perfect BUT seeing as you're a non smoker it shouldn't matter too much in regards to throat hit, etc.
3- AVOID the outdated "tank" system (atomizer+ cartridge) as they are problematic with leakage. Google "eGo-C or eGo-T leaking".
I've been using the Vivi Nova for 11 months now. It's a top coil and thus gives a warmer vape. Prolly the easiest clearo to use. 1.8 ohms is good.
My suggestion would be #2:

Thanks for the input everyone...the local BM had the eRoll for $39 today and I walked because I'm still on the fence and they were pushing the eGo really hard at $85. Kind of like a bait and switch, great price on the eRoll, rape me on what they thought I'd buy

What local B&M had the eRoll for $39? My wife is very interested in one, and the cheapest I have found it is $41 at e5cigs.com. Don't really feel like chancing them or waiting two weeks on Fasttech.
