Hello everybody. I got a Smoktech DCT V2 3,5ml and some dc cartos 1.5ohm. I filled the first one with some tobacco liquid and put it in the tank, and filled the tank aswell. Waited a few minutes and vaped. Draw is so airy its making me bloat! Vapor is not so good, flavor is kind of decent, throat hit is little. Tried another carto, different liquid, same results. I must say i am using 18mg liquids but the throat hit is barely there, whereas on my ego-c atty i get some more throat hit, although i dont get flavor there.

Why this is happening? I know i am new to cartos but i did everything right, filled up and everything. Also when i fire up the cartos they sizzle too much like they are dry, although they are full. Maybe i can try slotting the cartos with a dremel? I know the hole is too small on these but my liquids are not thick, they are 70/30.

Anybody can give an advice? Thank you.

If it's a genuine Joyetech eGo-C battery, then it's only outputting 3.3v regulated which might not be enough for the DC carto in the tank. I have a set of CE4+ clearos that run @ 2.5 - 2.8 ohms and they don't hit well on these batteries either. You probably need at least 3.7v - 4.2v to get decent performance on a DC.

Hi Gallahant. I switched from 510 "tank" attys to a carto tank about a week ago and it took me a couple of days to get used to the lighter draw on the carto (although take that with a grain of salt b/c I use a different carto than you). If the carto is filled well, I'm pretty sure adding a slot won't help. Try changing how you draw to see if that improves performance, or if you prefer a stiffer draw, you can use a cut carto condom (like a wide o-ring) to partially cover the air passage slots/holes.

Hope that helps.

3.63 watts. Doesn't sound like good vaping to me. Honestly, I'd stick to 1.5 or 1.25 ohm single coil cartos on such a low voltage device. Single coils work better in tanks anyway, it's always the top coil on those dual coil cartos that burn up, better to stick with one coil down near the bottom where the tank can keep it wet. Even a 1.7ohm resurrector is going to be pretty cool on that device, at 6.4 watts.

I went ahead and ordered some boge xl cartos both low and high resistance to experiment and find the best combination. I hope they are better as i read very good comments.
Vaping sucks in Cyprus, no local shops that carry accesories, only ego devices and dekang juices, bleahh. Ordering from abroad is a pain in the *ss!
@ynzr: I tried different ways of drawing like, hard draw, relaxed draw, short draw, long draw. Any way of draw on these cartos feels like im inhaling helium from a ballon :p
On a side note, my provari shipped yesterday so i hope from next week i will be in vaping paradise!

My first tank, wasn't everyones? , a DCT using an Ego C battery.

Same result as yours. Underwhelmed.

Found Resurrectors. They are Smoke Tec 1.7 single coils. They are called resurrectors as they resurrect the Ego battery.

Anyway doesn't matter really once you get the Vari the Ego is suddenly a backup.

Really is a great device. I was so impressed I bought two lol

interesting, i am not the only one that noticed this. Honestly i use the 650's (genuine ego's) for my ego-t which works awesome, i save the 900mah (again genuine ego) for my dct 6ml tank or the 1100mah (NOT genuine) for the stardust.....i know the 650's and 900 are the same volts (3.3) but it is more then odd how a higher mah makes it work better.......

Although I've never used a Provari, I'm sure it'll put the Ego to shame  and I'm willing to bet the Boge cartos will work great with it.

Welcome , and also , what is the pg/vg ratio ??? Juices with most or all pg , have very little vapor , but are better on TH , and flavor . Just the opposite for vg . ( more vapor , Less TH and flavor . ) Those tanks seem to work real well on voltages of at least 3.7 , but I use mine at 5 volts .

I agree also use mine at 4.7, they don't work well on ego at least with my experience.

I am convinced there is a bad batch of Smoktech DCC's floating around, I seem to get 2 good ones out of a pack of 5 lately. I actually take a needle and gently poke around the pre drilled hole to make sure the material inside is not too tightly packed. I will slot some of them as well, or just increase the size of the hole. As has been said above 3.3 volts is not where you want to be on a DCC. I love vaping with them on my EVO at 4.7 volts, the higher Amperage of the EVO really pushes the coils and makes for a fantastic vape :D

Well when i am wrong i will say i am wrong......Earlier today i got a 3ml smoktech DCT, put the juice in and primed the cart the same way i did with the the 6ml DCT i have. I am glad to say that it was DOA. Sure it made some wonderful smoke, but it was the poly fill burning and seems that it was just dumping the juice down my battery (go me)
I will be ordering a 5 pack of coils from Happy Vaper and hoping that i have better luck.
so there....i admitted it, i was wrong :D

Hey! I myself started off w/ a joyetech ego-c. & its still the only setup I own, & use) -Though its a vv "twist". & Im SOOO GLAD I went w/ my "gut instinct. & ignorred (wht I thought was) my "better judgement". Even after I WAS TOLD by the shopkeep, that it wouldnt make a noticable difference, & was "unnecessary" expense when purchising my start up kit. & BOY; was HE WRONG!! Not to mention its only like a $5-$10 upgrade. & I figured the risk was outweighed by the possibilities/advantages, in which a vv battery JUST MIGHT enhance my vaping exp!-& it DEFFINATALLY HAS!!

If its the smoktech DCT then its the DC carto style that comes with the tank causing the airy draw. i have several different styles of carto tanks and only the smoketech DC carto has given me the airy draw. Switch to a different brand of carto (i recommend Boge). As long as the xl carto doesn't have that bottom "plate" on it it should be alot better!

Although, I am also starting to "try out" dif. Carto setups w/ my 3.5ml tank. So far Ive only used/tried a cple dif. variations with my smoktek DC-Cartos. I started w/ 1.5ohms, w/ 3 holes, & I like that set up ok. I just recently bought a 5pk, all w/ 2 holes.-2 of them are 1.25's, which seems to perform alittle bit better w/ possibly alittle more flavor-Though I DO think I favor 3 holes, since I hvnt had many problems w/ leaking, & such. --ALTHOUGH-- I REEALLY CANT give a true evaluation, since I have only had them 1 full day. & hv only had the chance to try out the 1.25 w/ 1 familiar liquid, & 1 new flav.. But I think Im getting a slightly better vape w/ that juice, using a 1.25ohm, vs a 1.5ohm. If ANYONE out there can relate, or varrify this PLEASE LET ME/US KNOW!!! THANX ALOT!! ALSO, Im currious to know, & hear, what you think is the ABSOLUTE BEST SETUP, for flavor & such, with a VV joyetech ego-c twist. Also, what you know, what you think(ur review), & your opinions ON the joyetech ego-c twist! I greatly appreciate any comment or replys. Thanx Again!
