eGo-C Twist connection pin suddenly sticking up too much

I have been using this eGo-C Twist battery for a few months with an iClear30 and for 2 weeks with a Protank II with no problems. After accidentally spilling a little ejuice on to the connector yesterday, I later found out that my airflow started to tighten up and eventually closed shut completely(using the Protank). After fiddling with it, I have narrowed down the problem. It seems like the brass colored connecting pin is sticking up around half a millimeter too high and forcing the silicon separator in the coil for separating the 2 wires to be squished cutting off airflow to the air holes. With my limited experience I am confident this is the problem. I have also tried the Protank with another eGo-C battery I have and it works fine. Switching the coils and using the problemed battery results in the same problem. I have also tried pushing the pin back down with a lot of force but there is no progress.

Why did the connection suddenly raise up a little? How do I fix this? Apparently the pin going down into the battery is a common problem but mine seems to be the complete opposite. The pin wont go down even if I try to force it down. Please help, thanks.

sounds like you are tightening the tank down a bit too hard onto the battery thus "squishing" the insulator on the coil assembly. Some juices have a tendency to make the rubber insulator swell a bit. The insulator on my Vamo3 died a slow and terrible death, I replaced it with a silicone part out of a Blu cartridge ( the one with the airtube on it) Works great and actually has a bit of spring action to it now ( + pin on Vamo3)

Okay, so I took the coil apart and flipped the silicone piece for separating the element wires. The silicone tube is thick on one side and thin on the other and now using the thin side it can't squish enough to block airflow but, when I switch to my normal battery the connection no long reaches. Does no one know how I can take the battery apart or push the connection pin inwards?

Taking the battery apart won't solve that. The battery comes apart below the on/off button. You really don't want to do that unless you have to- it's not that easy to realign the button and put it back together.

Here are some picture of the battery taken apart

There's a little washer around the button on the battery. Get you get tweezers or a needle and push it down?

Maybe get something like this in the future?
