Anyone tried a setup where you can get the full 4.8 power without the burnt taste? I been using LR stardusts with the long wicks and I'm not really liking the flavor at all on any setting, plus anything above 4.0 seems burnt to me.

I was thinking about using 3.0 Boge cartos, but wanted to see what else is out there since I'm fairly new to the ego style battery.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Houston...I've got the twist 1000mah - 1st one died & am now using its' replacement. I really like it & agree w/you about not liking it as much on 4.8. I found 4.2 about the best for me but I think it really depends on the carto & the juice. I was also using the 3.0 Boge on mine. One of the vendors suggested using a 1.7 carto instead- said that the battery would "thank me for it". I'm expecting some to be delivered today (stalking usps) - I'll let you know.

So dripping is recommended? I never dripped before, but willing to try it.

You should definitely try it. But, remember 3 drops will go quick so you have to continue to drip - iow good at home, not recommended for when you're out. Dripping can bring out the best flavor but only within the wattage range for that flavor.

Too much wattage washes out or burns flavors and some flavors (stronger ones) hold up better in higher wattages than others but even then, you can wash them out above around 9.5Watts. A 2.4ohm atty will give out 9.6Watts running the Twist on 4.8V, and then I'd only run strong flavors on it. 3.0ohm would be better for lighter flavors. Only my coffee/espresso flavor will withstand 10Watts well, without a loss of flavor, but I run it at 4.0v with a 1.5ohm atty - that's my dripping vape.

And for general info - I burned out a EMDCC (dual coil 1.7Ω) after one week. It was a new one too. The SR eGo mega atty/cart is still working - running at @4.4volts.

Another question, I been looking at atomizers and cones, it seems to me the atomizer won't be long enough to reach out the end of the cone to add a drip tip.. Am I mistaken?

Using a drip tip - depending on it's size, isn't a problem with 510's. Some cartos - mainly KR8 types need a larger cone hole - a reamer is a good solution and I think now some vendors sell Riva cones that accommodate those slightly larger cartos but 510 attys aren't a problem - you may want to get a longer drip tip to keep from coming in contact with the cone.. iow one like this:

or this:

.. might be better than this:

.. and even then, because of a 'bulge' you may have to remove the drip tip before removing the cone. But there should be no problem with a 510 atty.
