Welp! I just received my order of two Twists (One SNLS, one BLK) and a bunch of Stardusts (SR, 2.7-3.0ohm long wicks) an hour ago. I let one charge because the other one kept showing green when I plugged it in..thanks for charging it for me HC :D. I filled a Stardust with my all day vape right now, Honey Nut Flue from BWB. Set it immediately at 4.2 and it tastes great. I've been chain vaping just to see how the Twist held up, and it has been doing fine. I set it up to 4.4 and vaped it alongside my Vector Variable Volt (using a LR Ressurector at 3.8 volts) and honestly....the taste from the Twist/Stardust combo is better. I know, I know, taste is subjective, but with the Twist I can taste some of the nutty notes from the juice that I didn't even notice I was missing. At first I was like, 'Ew, plasticky taste..back to the Volt!,' but after a few more vapes I realised it wasn't plastic, but the subtle nutty flavors that everyone talks about..the honey flavor is dialed down some letting the tobacco and nuttiness shine a bit more.

Sorry, rambling! Anyway, it's only been an hour or so, but I'm already really impressed with this little device. The draw is nice and even, not to 'airy' but not too tight. I guess I'll check back in here tonight and tell y'all how long it lasted me..I'm just gonna vape this thing 'till it flashes and tells me it needs to eat. The one problem, at least for me, is that those numbers on that dial are hard to see at first. My eye sight blows, and I have to stick it up to my face to see where they go. I've been going by memory and turning clockwise for up, counter for down.

Does anyone know where I can get a 650mah blue twist? I know I saw it somewhere but can't find it now. Would this use the big bore ego-c cone? I would like to use cartos and have a matching blue cone. If not I could go with pink. Also did I hear there is already an updated version coming out? There are too many threads to read through to find the latest and greatest info.

Any other suggestions on what to use with this? I like the ease and look of the vision/iturbo/stardust type clearos but the kind I have from a couple months ago really mute the flavor and have a plastic taste. I know many people love them so I'm wondering if there is a specific brand or newer versions that are better? I've tried the fluxo's and pheonix and like the flavor from them but I think they look kind of goofy on a battery. Does anyone know if I could use something like that and cover it with a cone? Yes, it's a girlie thing I freely admit. I want quality and style!

Would love some advise please?

I think they're only offered in black and stainless steel right now. I got one of each of the 1000mah version. I prefer the black because it is easier to read the dot that tells you the voltage. Because I don't have great eyesight it's hard for me to read on the stainless steel (as well as being a fingerprint magnet).

pretty new vaper here and ive only used auto stick batts previously...i just got a 650mah twist to give it a try and have 2.1-2.4ohm Stardusts hooked up...

i have a few questions i am hoping you all can help me with...firstly, as thi si my first manual batt and its VV, i really have no idea the "propr" way to draw from it...i've tried clicking it, and then barely barely sucking in and i've also tried clicking it and pulling like a would the auto batt....neither method has produced a whole lot of vapor and less than my auto stick 4.2v with a SR Stadust on it..

any suggestions or tips? Ive googled "the proper way to draw an ego c" multiple times and cannot find any really good tips are suggestions on the amount of draw i should be sucking in with...

also, ive ordered some SR Stardusts to try with the twist as well thinking that may work better...any suggestion son the ohn rating that would be best on the twist?

thanks a ton for any help!

Mookie, here you go....ego twist 'Blue' https://www.myvaporstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=EGO-C-TST

Vision Stardust v2 (longer wicks) Upgraded Vision eGo Transparent Clearomizer for 510/eGo

I didn't like the older version of Stardust, like you said they muted the flavour especially high VG base juice. The newer version seems to improve a bit, though I'd still prefer Boge LR in a tank.

thanks guys....i got that part down...i was mostly unsure of hard hard you should draw on this? the same as you would on an auto batt or less?

thanks for the help :)

In my very limited experience (as I've just received the Twists today) I can say that I was in your same position in regards to draw..I just wasn't getting what I thought was an acceptable draw either way. After playing for a bit, I realised that I was a big dummy head and both mouthpieces on both units were a bit unseated/unscrewed a bit. After I tightened them both up, the draw (using a Stardust SR) was perfect. I'm not calling you a dummy head, hehe..it's just really easy to miss that and maybe that's the problem. Otherwise, you shouldn't have any problems and using an auto battery type draw should produce plenty of vapor and flavor for you. Cheers!

thanks for the heads up :) i have actually tried lossening and tightening the tips and stardusts themselves on the twist and im gettin better results after playing with it a bit...still hoping that my SR stardusts give me a little more of what im looking for...i used SR Stardusts on my auto's and i may have just gotten used to the way they vape...i'll keep playing around with it!

Try using the logo printed on the bottom and making mental note of how things line up with the dot. Of course that may not work if you also have a memory problem like some of us older folks. :)

I'm like many in that the only complaint I have with the EGO Twists is the tiny power numbers. I'm sure glad that I just got new glasses or I wouldn't have been able to see them at all. I'm still thinking about getting a magnifying glass just for this.

I don't have my new glasses yet so I did have to get out my magnifying glass to read mine. I don't change voltages very often so I will probably leave it at 4v most of the time. It is a nice battery though and I like it.

I'm planning on picking up a couple of these batteries but I want to pair them with this: Smoktech EgO Dual Coil Tank (DCT). It's just a regular DCT but it's designed specifically for the Ego batteries.

I figure I can slip in either a higher res DCC or just punch a 3ohm Boge. Pop it onto a Twist and have a nice little portable setup going.

I've found multiple vendors for each piece but haven't found one that sells both yet.

Been testing the Twist out for a day now (1000mAh black) and I have to say, I'm really impressed with this thing. Finally a true buck/boost VV in an eGo form factor, and it performs really well. Obviously it doesn't have the muscle of a full-blown mod, but for this form factor it's absolutely stellar. At least with single-coil devices -- this is really not made for dual coils and it does appear to limit the amp draw when you attach one -- I don't yet have a meter to test, but it feels like it's dropping the voltage to around 4V when I try and hit a 1.5ohm dual coil at 4.8V, given that it hits exactly the same on my Twist at 4.8V as it does on my EVO at the low (~4V) setting. For Boge LRs though, yeah, I hit those at 4.8V and it's excellent.

Really digging the Twist -- and the price is incredibly attractive, which also surprised me given that it's genuine Joyetech, who are normally quite pricey.

It should be about 4.1V yes with a 1.5 ohm dc at 4.8v on the twist
