Just received my first purchase in the mail from AltSmoke. Opened the package, filled my vision clearomizer about half way with sinapse liquid and started vaping. So far im loving it. Dont get the urge to smoke cigs anymore and had one this morning and it was even tough to finish.

i got one ego-c twist and one 650mAh. Got 1 vision clearomizer, 1 vivi nova 2.5ml, 2 cargo tanks. So far ive only used the twist with clearomizer. Ive read cinnamon is hard to get the taste out of a clearo. Guess that was a bad flavor to start with. I wanted to switch up the flavors and try one of the others I got.

How do I clean it out? what other maintenance do I need to know about?

If anyone can point me in the direction of any start up or maintenance threads I should know about, would be great.

it depends what sort of clearo your using as to weather it can be pulled apart and cleaned. if it can be pulled apart just give everything a good rinse off and be careful with your wicks not to dislodge them. give everything a dry with some paper towel and your good to go it may take a bit for the cinnamon flavour to go away but if u have it your could use some flavorless liquid to get rid of the last of it. even if u change to another flavor the cinnamon shouldn't hand around for long

I use Vision Vivi Nova's the 3.5ml ones, fill them to just under the silicone cap basically even with the wicks, when mine goes below half I have to swirl them for the best flavor, so I always keep them over 1/2 full

When cleaning mine I remove every peice, first pull the mouth peice, remove top cap empty any remaining liquid back into container or down sink ... hot water running I just flood out the rest inside the tank, then remove tank completely, pull off silicone cap, rinse ... take a fingernail untwist atomizer rinse with hot water really good blot wicks on paper towel and let sit ... rinse remaining peices under hot water ... dry everything with paper towel then you can either assemble everything thats now dry, but I usually let my heads sets that washed over night cause I have several, but yes I have used them right away after blotting the wet wicks with a paper towel and they were fine

Congratulations on your new kit! A word of warning about cinnamon: not only is it a strong flavor, it is also incompatible with polycarbonate plastic, which is what your clearomizer and vivi nova are made of. It can take a while for the plastic to degrade, so the clearo may not have sustained damage, but it is something to be aware of. It took about 3-4 weeks for my vivi mini nova to bite the dust:

There is an on-going list of flavors people have had trouble with, but experiences can vary based on things like how long the liquid is in the tank. Some people switch flavors in tanks frequently and may not notice a problem for months, whereas other people have had tanks crack within minutes. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-33.html

The only materials safe to use with these juices are glass, polypropylene and metal. There are metal tubes available for vivi novas. There are current no safe clearomizers, but you can use cartomizers or carto tanks (made of polypro or glass). This is a topic I post about constantly, since I don't want anyone to lose as much gear as I did before I learned what the problem was.

I live right next to Altsmoke, (addicted to their Sinnibun, just wish it didn't have any Cinnamon in it), and I can report that the Ego Twist works GREAT on the Nova's with most all liquids. I just stepped it up and bought a Vamo, (only $40 for an entire starter kit and two Nova's from Ocean Vapor), and rebuildable atty's and tanks using Stainless Steel mesh instead of the normal silica wick that's in the Nova for a much more flavorful, consistent and (imho), safer vaping experience. I'll always keep the twist around as a backup though, it's a GREAT choice for a starter kit for a newb, congrats!
