In the short time I have been enjoying e-cigs I have tried my ego-c battery with 2.8ohm clearomizers, cartomizers, and a 510 standard and LR atty with a drip tip.

However, despite many in the forum seem to enjoy clearomizers, cartomizers, and especially dripping, my 70/30 and 50/50 pg/vg juices all taste better, produce more vapor, and are smoother with the stock Type A atomizer / stock cartridge combination.

Has anyone had a similar experience or am I crazy?

Given the things I have tried, can anyone suggest something that will improve my experience? I'm quite happy with the stock setup but am one of those people who is always searching for something better. Sadly, the extra $100 I have spent on things so far has only ended in disappointing.

Many thanks,

I'm happy with my Joye ego-c, it got me off of 40 years of smoking. Now I like to switch between ego-c and vision clearomizer, cool vape, warm vape.

That's interesting you say cool vape, warm vape.

Maybe it's the hotter vape produced by other methods that I don't like. I am quite certain I am direct dripping with my 510 attys properly but the vapor is just a bit to abrasive for my liking. The flavor is perhaps a bit clearer but I can't really enjoy it if it hurts my throat.

It's funny you mention this particular topic! I also have been upside down n all around trying EVERY type of clearo, carto, wick system, tanks, you name it. I have an Ego C Twist btw, so I decided to try out the Type B Tanks w/ the puncture atty made by Joyetech. Well after all other failed attempts of leaking, dripping, burnt taste whatever...this system has NO leak issues, no burnt tastes, no failures! Excellent vapor production, vivid taste, cool throat hit...I mean, this is a 100% winner in my book. I finally found somethin' that works, and of course it's made by Joyetech for Joyetech products...duh!?!? Ego C Type A(1ml tank), OR Type B(2ml tank) with cone and atomizer head. The set up is simple and cheap for long term use. $7 for 5 blank tanks, $8 for cone, and $25 for a 5 pack of atty heads which lasts me about a month give or take. Best price I've found is at vaperite.com. Check em out!!!

As far as the ego goes, I tend to agree the cartridges work well. I find carts are a little dry and dripping does seem harsh, but I do use one of my egos for dripping and tasting flavors. The clearomizers don't work with vg juice which is mostly what I use. VG juice tends to taste burnt in clearos. Have you tried a tank system with the ego? It's probably the best experience I've found when using the ego.

I also like the eGo tanks, although I prefer a type B since the draw seems easier, it holds more, and I like the wider shape.

I just tried a clearomizer and it's OK, but a little too hot and harder to draw on.
It's easier to fill, though.

Oh, and I got a Twist about 2 months ago, and that's a big improvement since I can run the voltage higher for more vapor. Couldn't go back to a regular battery now !
