So, I am set up with the Ego and I loved it when I first got it (haven't really tried many others). However rather quickly one of the batteries burned up a charger (I blame that on the electricity here bieng totally unregulated) and now I seem to have an issue with the Atomizors, they just sort of started to not work. I ordered more, and some worked well and some never worked at all. I am not sure if this is a common problem, or if there is a special type of Atty which works better with the Ego.

I cleaned them with Alcohol, blew them out with canned air, which is about the best possible way to clean them where I am at.

Any advice would be awesome.

contact the place where you purchased the ego... most have warranty's and will be glad to help you out. Any 510 atty will work with it. I have the tornado which is the same thing and never had those kind of problems. Now if you are blowing chargers due to the electricity being unregulated.... that could have possibly damaged the battery if it was on charge... this could (i would think) cause a performance issue with ANY atty you put on there

Psst, he doesn't need to tell the vendor that. lol

As for the unregulated electricity, get a powerstrip w/ a breaker to protect ANY electronics. They are cheap, and I have all of my electronics pluged into them. Gets you lot's of extra outlets as a benefit.

I do not think canned air would be great for an atty though I dont really know.Attys are more fickle than a junior high prom date, I would buy genuine joyce attys only ,imo.batteries have not been an issue with me so far. Maybe only blow clean the attys with your mouth and a dry brun only when the atty seems gunked or working strangely.A lot of time when I tried to clean em is when they started acting up more.Much better advice will follow by others.

Your attys need to be kept moist - if they get too dry it can spell the end of atty-life.
I use normal attys on my eGo - not the LR ones - and keep them as wet as possible without flooding (although a little flood now n then isn't a big deal for an atty as long as you blow it out).
I'm not sure about cleaning methods, I dont clean mine, but there's a few listed on the E-Cigarette Maintenance - E-Cigarette Forum forum that you should find helpful.

Yes you can just put a drop of liquid on the atty.... when i think of people saying "keep your atty wet" meaning don't let the juice burn all the way out and end up dry burning or "dry vaping" on your atty. This can cause it to pop. I assume you are speaking of storing or atty for a time period? If that is the case i don't think it would matter i just keep mine in a plastic box with my spare attys and batteries. I don't put liquid in them just to store them away
