I have a 65mm Auto Volt Battery with an issue I haven't seen before.

If I inhale on it, the end lights up just fine, and shuts off properly, so the internal switch seems to be working alright.

However, my charger (standard 808 wall charger) stopped recognizing the battery, and it also won't fire up a cartomizer. It's as if the electrical connection on the battery went bad somehow. I tried cleaning the threads with rubbing alcohol and it looks all clean and shiny, but it won't charge or fire up a carto.

Also use a tissue to make sure the valley between the battery post and threads is dry.

Then try this with no battery in the charger: unplug the charger from the AC, wait a few seconds, plug it back into AC. Then try.

I have one KR8 charger that would just get stupid sometimes.

Other possibilities -

1. There IS juice inside (if it's an auto) and it is shorting something that interferes with the battery communicating with the charger.

2. Charger could be bad - does it work with another battery?

3. You screwed things in too far (cartos or charger) and depressed the center post of the battery. It can be tricky to fix that without ruining the battery but you could compare your batteries to see if the problematic one seems to have a more pressed in center post

Suggestion - only buy manual batteries and always have spares of everything for the model you depend on. That includes a second charging cable and a 3rd battery

The charger works with my other battery, so it's not that. And it charged it in the past

It could be the center post, it's hard to tell. It stopped firing the carto in the middle of vaping it, though. So it would be weird if the center post somehow shifted inwards in the middle of using it. I originally thought it was just dead, but I noticed the light kept going on as if the battery was still good.

In the past I've used mainly manuals, but I've been liking the volt autos since they're small and fire right away. Feels more like a cigarette, which helps me stick with it.

I'm assuming it's just a fluke battery
