I'm buying an Ego starter kit for my Brother-in-law and was wondering if anyone has any input as far as aitch way to go. I still am confused why they sell such high resistance atomizers with these kits. should I just get the cheapest kit and buy seperate atomizers? should I get the evod or ce4 kit and just get new coils? I just don't know  ...

Mine was doa and it took 60 letters to them and 2 months to get a refund

I have ordered from them before and actually had to cancel an order once and got refunded within 3 days. They do take a long time to ship, but hey its coming from china and its free shipping....so far my experience has been ok. I got a vamo kit on the way, we'll see what happens with that...

While it seems to be the "luck of the draw" with FT, most anywhere else can be like that too.
I'd say the evod kit and some spare heads, just 'cause I'm really liking the evods out of the box.
Easy to rebuild with 28gauge kanthal and/or cotton wick too, if so inclined.
The 0.8ohm evod I did is actually very nice at 7 watts.

The atty resistance actually came in much lower than what was advertised.(with the single evods that is)
Metered at 2-2.2ohm not 2.4-2.5 as advertised

Agree. The ohms of many cartos, heads, etc can out out + or - by as much as 20%. I now test all of mine before using on non VW devices to ensure a quality vape. A multi tester, although not always needed, is a must have for vapers IMO as it can measure ohms, volts, etc and can also also be used to quickly identify issues.
