...for me, after the first 3 weeks, i had to start leaving them on the charger for a longer period of time (past the green light coming on), but they have served me well and have really proved themselves to be superior!

I just got three of them in today's mail. How long do you leave them on the charger after the light comes on?

it took me awhile to find the right amount of time ... added an hour at a time until i came up with a total charge time of 7-8 hours, but i get a lot of vaping time with that. yes, some batteries keep charging after the green light comes on. they don't heat up either and show no signs of an irregularity. even the instructions that came with mine say it's best to leave them overnight for the best charge. since february, they may have changed that, tho. i would just leave them until the green light comes on until you notice you are getting less vaping time or less firing power (if that, in fact, happens with yours) and then just add an hour at a time ... leaving them longer than 8 hours doesn't seem to improve vaping time at all (at least not with mine). i never expected these batts to be this great, and i'm extremely pleased with them!! :) i ended up buying an ego-t kit, the very next month, and was disappointed in what everyone had been raving about at the time. with the exception of my ego pt, in my experience, most ego's don't compare with kgo's (someone said the ego gold does?)!

a small p.s. here: i love bragging about my kgo's! when i purchased mine, you couldn't even get them in the u.s. yet. i had to get mine directly from shenzhen, china ... great price but very expensive shipping!

This is just a heads up for the moment. I just ordered a few and I'll post my thoughts on them after they arrive (Saturday or Monday). I think these will interest eGo users. They are an eGo mega carto (the battery end is shaped for eGos like the eGo mega atty or the eGo-t attys). It's a dual coil that holds around 5 ml and doesn't require anything special for filling like the regular eGo-specific cartos that have been around a while. They'll just be a "drip around the sides" or syringe fill sort of thing.

I just got one last week from Mad Vapes. They are made by Smook (that is what is printed on the side of the caromizer). They have either a rounded tip or a flat "whistle" tip. I got one of each and found that for me (a woman) the rounded tip was really too big for my mouth.

You can still buy the whistle tip EMDCC from Madvapes...

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Flat-Tip

The round tips are awful. I tend to keep things longer than I should so happened to have a few of the plugs from the Type B ego tanks. Stuck one on the end of the Mega-dual coil cartomizer. It works like a champ and much more comfortable for me to use.

an update on the kgo's i bought in mid february: they are still firing great! except for my ego pt and the vv box, i've been using them exclusively for the last 2 months with the emdcc's. there is a very noticeable difference in that they do fire much hotter than the ego's. for me, after the first 3 weeks, i had to start leaving them on the charger for a longer period of time (past the green light coming on), but they have served me well and have really proved themselves to be superior! i'll be buying more of them in the future. :)

of further note, and i've mentioned this before, a kgo that had been off the charger and used for over an hour showed over 4.1 on the meter, when i had it checked on the first of august ... that surprised me, because i've been using them heavily since mid february!

I just got my Kgo's yesterday, but I've had the time to make some comparisons. Yes, they burn hotter and perform better than the Ego's. The flavor and vapor are enhanced - compared side by side with the Ego, and everything that fits on the Ego fits on the Kgo. The main thing I wanted to compare was the performance of the EMDCC on the Kgo, and it was a real winner in every way. Bluntly, the Kgo is a high quality product and a top contender for a reasonably priced PV. I can't speak about longevity yet, but my expectations are high.

I found that a problem too, haven't had a chance to order the correct drip tip to replace that yet but I had some straws in the pantry and cut off about a 1 1/2 inch piece, stuck that in the hole with about 3/4 inch sticking out and works great!

I posted something a little more comprehensive in another thread but these 1100mAh SLB batteries walk all over my 900mAh 3.7v Smoktech batteries. I'm using it with a vapingzone EMDCC clone right now and I think I may have found the ideal setup for me :)

I wanna run the thing dead before I post a final opinion but so far I'm impressed.

Good to know that they are such nice quality. Gotvapes emailed today about a new 900mah VV ego, not the PT. That would be 3.2-3.7-4.2 variable. It also has a batt indicator at the end of the tube. Maybe another option for the emdccs. But I'm liking the Kgo the more I hear about it. Do the joye cones fit the kgo batts in case I wanted to use a Boge 2.0 on it with a cone?

About time you joined the party.;)

Like I said before...
I'm really surprised how little the following is on the KGO, especially since it's such great product.
It vapes great with EMDCC's... And it looks great too!

I'm a picture kind o' guy.

Saw the 900mAh VV on their site yesterday - $34 for a battery? Not :D

Yes, your eGo cones will fit the KGO battery - I just tried it to make sure.

Yeah but it's a VV battery.....lol. Anyhow thanks for the cone info and enjoy your Kgo!

Oh, I am :)

Got 11 hours vaping on this charge and it's still going strong - to be honest I don't think I need 4.2v. I've only got one sample but so far I prefer vapingzone's EMDCC clones to the Smoktech devices - on a KGO battery it makes for a really nice vape :)

An amusing side note - the spousal unit started using EMDCCs yesterday and likes them - I filled one for her yesterday and she handed it back to me a few minutes ago saying the thing tasted burnt - which it did. It seems when I told her that I'd made one of those cartos last a month that meant she didn't need to fill it :D

well, it looks like one of my kgo's is finally dead after almost 7 months heavy vaping. not long after i posted, bragging about them, i found one on the charger belly up. :( i cleaned the threads and tried charging it again today ... nothing wrong with the charger, as it charged the other kgo just fine. i still can't believe it passed on ... hopefully to a better place, as i fairly well abused it (including dropping it on a very hard floor the other day). anyway, i'm happy that it lasted as long as it did and worked like a champ 'til the end. rip little kgo.

of note: the other kgo is still working great and still has me singing that famous beach boys song every time i vape: little kgo ... (i know i can't be the only one who does that!)

Okay I'm on my smartphone and it's not the best for ECF. On the link above scroll down to the post where I thank Darth for his great tip...

i see what you are talking about in the above link, and i'll try it, but i don't think that's the problem because the post was making contact with the emdcc, after already having been raised. i think i might have also gotten some juice in it thru the button area. i was dripping with another carto and overfilled it. i didn't toss kgo out yet ... keep thinking it can be saved. so thanks for your suggestions, and i'll still try them. could the one about getting alcohol in it help? if there is juice in there? even after it wouldn't charge, it must have gotten some charge because i vaped it until it went dead again. mof, i can try that one again now.

update: yes! it did charge a little, and i can vape my boge 2.0 on it now but probably not for very long. so what now??? i had left it on the charger for way past what i normally would, and the light never turned green. unscrewed and screwed it back on the charger several times, cleaned the threads, and even changed wall outlets.

question: if i'm able to use the kgo now (til it runs down again), doesn't that mean the center post is already okay for the charger?
