Good to know that they are such nice quality. Gotvapes emailed today about a new 900mah VV ego, not the PT. That would be 3.2-3.7-4.2 variable. It also has a batt indicator at the end of the tube. Maybe another option for the emdccs. But I'm liking the Kgo the more I hear about it. Do the joye cones fit the kgo batts in case I wanted to use a Boge 2.0 on it with a cone?

From what I see, everything that works on the Ego works on the Kgo. The Kgo cones that come with the Kgo kit should work fine also. I really haven't done anything with cones yet because the EMDCC is my current favorite. I also looked at the vv Ego and decided against it. First, it's not Joye - second, it's almost as expensive as an entire Kgo kit - third, I can get almost as much voltage out of the Kgo. I just can't see spending $34 for a battery, but I did think about it.

question: if i'm able to use the kgo now (til it runs down again), doesn't that mean the center post is already okay for the charger?

If the batt works with the Boge, then the batt isn't bad. If the charger doesn't go to a red light, then either the batt or charger post may need 'lifting'.

Have you tried charging another batt? Although it hasn't occurred for me yet, I have read about bad chargers. Those can be tough to troubleshoot 'cause most folk don't consider the possibility.

Keep in mind that atties/cartos/chargers also have a center post that may have been screwed in too far.

Good luck and please keep us posted!

yes, my other kgo charged fine on the charger, so the charger is fine. would juice leaking in under the button cause this charging problem? it won't go to red light even after 10 hours, and i kept checking the batt for irregularities during time on the charger. thanks to everyone for trying to help with this! :)

If the LED lights when you activate the switch, then chances are the circuitry is OK.

Ya just may have a waning batt.

I'm in Bradenton and have the test equipment. LMK if I can assist ya.

thanks, iffy! i believe you are probably correct in that this batt is waning. i just didn't know that a waning batt would take so long to take on a little charge and have the light never turn green. maybe if i left it on the charger for 24 hours it might turn green? lol i may know of someone closer with test equipment but believe the batt probably is waning after over 6 months (almost 7 months now) of heavy use. i guess i was just grabbing at straws. since the kgo's are my favorite, i've used them almost exclusively over the ego's. thanks so much! :)

rip little kgo

I have a EMDCC that I've been using for a couple of weeks. (At least, I think that's how long.) It's not giving as good a hit as before.

So I'm assuming I should try to clean it out. Hot water first, then soak it in alcohol awhile, then hot water again, another quick alcohol treatment, then a let it dry out several days? Does that sound about right?

I've had good results with just running hot tap water through them real good just once - no alcohol - and letting them dry a couple of days. I usually try to spin most of the water out of them at the end of a lanyard before drying them completely. You'd be surprised at how much water you can get out almost in seconds that way.

Another thing you can try - although you run the risk of killing it - is to *gently* run a straightned paper clip up the center hole. I do this about three times a week and had an EMDCC last a month before it died.

If you do wash it out you can blow the water out of it (or spin it) and stick it in a 200° oven for two or three hours.

Another way to quick dry is after spinning out what you can, use the shoe rack that comes with a clothes dryer, place a towel over it and turn on the dryer for an hour or so on gentle heat. Also placing them under a fan works well.

I suspect that every female on the forums knows exactly what all that means, and probably they all have shoe racks. I think I'll just set it aside and wait a week. Maybe I'll use MoHawkx's plan.

I'm not in a hurry for it to dry. I'm not going to stop vaping while I wait - I've got more EMDCC's, I'll use one of them.

LOL, it's just the sneaker drying shelf they supply with the dryer to dry your shoes on so they don't clank around in the dryer. I put mine away years ago and only pulled it out of storage to use for drying the cartos. But long as you have some in reserve you're good to go. For some reason I don't like opening up new cartos until I've totally killed the ones I'm using or cleaning, but lately I've been throwing them out without trying to clean them, just getting lazy I guess.

It is as easy to clean ten as it is to clean one :D

Ack, come to think of it I don't think I've even gone thru ten yet, maybe 6 since July if that many. So these clone emdccs, they are cheaper?

Nope. Singles are a buck more, packs of 5 are 50 cents more each.

Holds the same amount of juice but have a bit lighter draw and from the single sample I've tried, produce a bit more vapor - but I'd be happy with either. I think next EMDCC purchase I'm gonna try a few of the clones, though.
